[The feed, for a few minutes, is simply a cave ceiling. It's not even moving; if you look at it long enough, you can perhaps devise that the phone fell from someone's possession and landed on the ground, from the vantage point you have.

After some time, there's a cough, and a wince, followed by the slight pitter-patter of what can only be moogle feet, which is soon confirmed by an alarmed-]
Kupo!!

[To which a pom pom bristles into view and out again, as the moogle heads towards the direction of the continued wincing. The person who is obviously injured by this point says something, undistinguishable to the phone. More conversation passes, until there's a lull. The pitter-patter of feet follows, until the moogle assumingly spots the phone, his pom pom swishing back into view. The moogle soon retrieves it.]

There's a person near the entrance of Semitt Falls, kupopo! I think she's injured!! Maybe it had something to do with that monster that was here, kupo? It was guarding one of those trees! I haven't seen it, though...

[The moogle swivels the camera.] Does anyone know her, kupo? [The camera focuses on Ritz - and just as the moogle returns to her with the phone, her eyes slip shut.]

[It's Yuffie's phone, but it looks like someone's picked it up and is filming what's going on.

Yuffie's in the center of the screen, pushing a rather irate gentleman out of the pagoda doors. There are flowers strewn about the floor, several boxes of chocolate, and miscellaneous gifts scattered about.]

-AND STAY OUT!

[Yuffie huffs at the door, slamming it shut.]

You'd think that when I say "I don't want a suitor and no, I don't want to be married" people would take the hint! Gawd.

[She kicks the door for good measure.]

[ For those who have ever been to the Sunleth Waterscape, they might recognize the surroundings as the video function turns on. Most people probably won't recognize the bunny-eared woman staring resolutely down at the camera-holding moogle, though. She's been told it's been several months since she was last here. ]

Oh... you've been here before?

Yes. [ The camera registers the annoyed look on the Viera's face as she takes the sky phone and turns it over so the rest of the world can see the piece of glass she's holding. It's a magicite shard, but she doesn't know that. ]

If this has meaning to anyone, I would have them take it. I care not for its existence.

[Ceodore's already gearing up in the video, as he full well intends to go rushing in and go after the creature himself. Anyone offering to help better be fast or at least ready to scrape the princeling off the ground when they arrive.]

Someone just came through and said that there's one of those myrrh trees in that temple across the island and that there's some monstrous creature guarding it. I'm going to go check it out.

[A couple of hours later, Ceodore turns the feed back on, already battered a fair bit and panting in a side hallway. He pans the phone to show the interior chamber at the end of the hall with the tree being guarded by Yiazmat.]

I think this is going to take some help.

[He takes the device from the moogle and turns to the screen with a puzzled expression on his face.]

[The feed ends aburptly as Strago accidentally shuts it off.]

[The video feed comes on to show two unfortunate Alexandrians in stocks right out in the main square of the city. One of whom is one of her own soldiers. There is impatient tapping of Beatrix's foot on the cobblestones echoing before she speaks, and obviously she's got a message to impart to the network and the locals who are gawking with hushed whispers.]

If anyone else wishes to place a wager on His Majesty's duration of stay in the country, I have ample room for you.

[Since he has been spending a reasonable amount of time in Figaro between his flights elsewhere, Balthier has picked up a rumor or two during his most recent stop. One of them is about his own personal pursuits, and having overheard that bit of gossip hasn't bothered him at all, but there's another rumor flying that besmirches the reputation of two very decent ladies, and that he does not approve of. Not in the least. He is near Penelo's cafe, which he just may have been visiting despite its proprietor having returned home.]

Terra, Celes. If the rumors have already reached your ears, please know that I will do all I can to stomp them out. I won't stand for such slander, and refuse to let your reputations suffer any potential damage.

So lemme get this straight-- I'm on a planet called Gaia? And Garland's here? And there's no way to get home?

[ One of the moogles nods, and the Skyphone is handed to Prishe, though she ignores it for the most part. ] That's right, kupo!

Then I'm just gonna have to kick his ass again, huh! Later, moogles! I gotta go find Garland!

[ Her thumb brushes against the device, and the feed clicks off. ]

[This is the Chaos Shrine. The old, derelict Chaos Shrine which looks like it hasn't seen a good cleaning in a couple thousand of years. And in the middle of it is one Lufene, looking bored and sulky. Oddly enough there's a lot of expensive decor in her vicinity. Is some of it various auction goods that mysteriously quit being up for bid? Either way, her cheek is resting in one hand with a pout firmly fixed on her face, the other hand is lazily twirling one of her long curls around her fingers.]

It took you fools long enough to figure it out. For idiots who claimed to want to know the whereabouts, you sure didn't seem to inclined to find out when you had your chance.

[How does she know about Cid's locked-down post? She's got the Treno auctioneer in her pocket of course. She lets him live for the bargain price of first pick of the auctions and any information he thinks she might want.]

[So Palom? Shouldn't be left alone to his own devices. Ever. Leonora's been off studying, and the students refuse to come near him unless absolutely necessary. This doesn't bother him, mind you.

But. This is Palom, sitting outside the walls of Mysidia, in front of a very large fire. Near the fire is what looks like to be a pile of roasted meat. He looks ridiculously pleased with himself.]

[Today, Setzer seems to have taken it upon himself to go a-wandering once more. Not too much of a surprise, for those who know him, and the dust of the wastelands not far from Figaro is still clinging to the hems of his coat, offering a general idea of where he's been.

More interesting, perhaps, is where he's found himself. By all appearances, it looks to be the cockpit of some manner of ship. To those who have been on the Celsius before, it's a fairly familiar cockpit as well. Not that Setzer knows this, of course. To him, it's just a moment of serendipity and he's hardly about to turn that down if it's an airship. There's a moment of silence before he turns to address the camera.]

A strange thing to find floating free in a hand like this. But I dare say I won't turn fate down this time.

[Not to mention expensive tastes. She'll just liberate a few things and be on her way. More tugging coming from the moogle then a vicious roar. The view swings to reveal a massive creature guarding the myrrh tree inside Lufene's stronghold.]

Wha-?! What is that?!! Layle? LAYLE!! THIS ISN'T FUNNY!

[Forget yelling at the missing Crystal Bearer, it's time to get the hell out. Belle grabs the moogle and starts to make a break for it before she becomes monster chow.]

Greetings, citizens and friends of Gaia.

I have news for you all regarding our quest to find and defeat Garland. I also have a request to make.

We have learned that Garland may be found in a place called the Chaos Shrine. But to locate it requires the use of four elemental crystals, which I have now obtained. These crystals must be placed in the elemental shrines: Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. However, the shrines are guarded by fearsome monsters.

I wish to put together four teams who will each take a crystal and place them in their respective shrines. All transport will be provided, and my finest Lindblum guards will escort you to the entrance. If you volunteer, bear in mind that you will be facing a tough battle - one that you must win. We can't afford to lose the crystals.

These teams will be sent out a week from now, on 11th June. Send me a message here if you want to go! We need all the help we can get.

But that's not all. After the crystals have been placed, a party must journey to the Ronka Ruins, where I'm told that there is a device which can be activated to show the way to the Chaos Shrine. That is our goal: to find the Chaos Shrine. Again, I must warn you that this will be a dangerous and difficult mission. I want to send out a party as soon as possible after the shrines have been beaten. Tell me if you wish to go!

After that, we'll reconvene and consider how to defeat Garland. I have no doubt: it can be done. To everyone who volunteers and all those who have ever helped to protect Gaia in even the smallest of ways, you have my gratitude. Soon we'll see our hard work rewarded.

[Terra is tense as she approaches the myrrh tree with its Sandhorse guardian lingering nearby. At least she has backup, unlike last time. Still, she's not about to underestimate the strength of the tree's probably guardian...not again, anyway. To that end, she pauses to cast Shell and Protect over her companions. Hopefully that will give them the edge they need to defeat it before any travelers fall prey.]

I have heard the moogles speak of a myrrh tree within Raithwall's Tomb, and two guardians. Given the pattern thus far, I am certain this means the time for their use is nigh. I wish to travel there, and defeat the guardians so that I may collect the myrrh with the chalice bestowed to me. It is time, and I must do my part.
