[Rishfee, above anything else looks unharmed, but tired. Very tired. He's in the Mire again, making good on the qijirn's assumption that he will destroy whatever has reduced the settlement of Nashmau's population so drastically. But it's starting to take a toll on him- the Mire is full of dangers which do not see him as anything but a food source.]

How are things?

Hello again. I apologize for interuppting your affairs, though I would like to ask some questions, if I may. It concerns what we spoke of previously, the lamia in the region of Caedarva Mire. Within the depths of Caedarva, there is a small settlement named Nashmau. It is merely a settlement and cannot even be called a town. Yet recently, people and some qijirn have disappeared from it. The remaining qijirn inside Nashmau believe it is the work of the ghosts in the Mire, though investigation has proved their thoughts upon the matter to be incorrect.

Therefore, I come to you- for I believe your soldiers and yourself police the neighbouring city of Alexandria, and because of the fact you know of the creatures I speak of. I have reason to believe this is the work of the lamia within Caedarva Mire, or the Qutrub. Your answer will allow me to investigate further. Have any of your populace vanished after nightfall?

[Reception inside the mines has never been ideal in the first place. Now with the earthquake collapsing one of the main shafts and cluttering the pathways with debris, the phones are barely working, but it's vital to get a message out. It's full of static and broken:]

There's been a minor earthquake in Narshe that's caused a mine cave in. Approximately 200 people are trapped inside. Outside conditions are unknown to us at this time, but we ask for any able bodied souls to help with the rescue effort.

[Sorry, Parents, but Ceodore's more concerned for the people trapped in here with him than sending any warm reassurances about himself.]

((ooc: For the sake of legibility, I didn't blur out half the message with dashes, but please feel free to assume the content is broken and somewhat hard to understand, dropping out in places. Feel free to threadjack and/or tag around to organize any rescue attempts.))

((Backdated a bit, to shortly after Garden arrived at Alfitaria.))

[Quistis had chosen to give Squall and Rinoa their space when they had initially gone to meet with the family -- she figured that feeling crowded or hovered over wasn't going to help any of those involved to feel at ease. Still, visiting the Loire family was incredibly convenient. She had promised to pay Ellone and Raine a visit upon her arrival, though she had been unsure of exactly when she would have been able to make her way to Dali. Garden's arrival in Alfitaria had sped things up considerably, and she had made arrangements to meet with Ellone in the dining hall, where she now waited at a somewhat private table tucked away in the far corner.]

[Cecil had wanted dearly to help with the rescue of the King of Figaro. Even if he did not know the man personally, he was a friend of Terra's. Seventeen years had not changed his friendship with the half-esper one bit, and he wanted to help her in any way he could.

But seventeen years of ruling had ingrained in him that, in most matters, duty came before personal feelings. Troia was so close to Pandaemonium, he would not risk abandoning his people -- or Rosa -- to Lufene's whims. So he had stayed.

Now the rescue is over, he is doing all he can to be of help to Terra and the others. In the spirit of its ruler, the city has thrown open its doors to the rescue party; castle servants willing to see to accomodation and their every needs, the sundries and equipment shops are temporarily offering their goods at steep discounts, and the King's Bounty Pub is giving free drink and other... attractions for any curious (or brave) enough to venture in.

Despite the hero's welcome the group receive, the town isn't all cheer. They're still very much on the alert for a retaliatory attack from Lufene, something that can be seen in the face of all the townspeople. Behind the smiles, everyone is on edge.]

((ooc: Slightly backdated. Basically, Cecil offered to Terra that the Pandaemonium group could stay in Troia to rest and regroup after the rescue attempt. Anyone interested in having their chars stop in Troia/any other characters in Troia at the time, tag in! Since that includes a loooot of people, this post can work as a mass interaction post, so feel free to make your own threads and mingle. GO CRAZY.))
