[Reception inside the mines has never been ideal in the first place. Now with the earthquake collapsing one of the main shafts and cluttering the pathways with debris, the phones are barely working, but it's vital to get a message out. It's full of static and broken:]

There's been a minor earthquake in Narshe that's caused a mine cave in. Approximately 200 people are trapped inside. Outside conditions are unknown to us at this time, but we ask for any able bodied souls to help with the rescue effort.

[Sorry, Parents, but Ceodore's more concerned for the people trapped in here with him than sending any warm reassurances about himself.]

[Cecil gets the gist of the message, even confusing and half-inaudible as it is. Immediately there's worry, though as always in a crisis he tries to maintain calm. Panic and jumping to the wrong conclusions helps no one.

[Cecil is suiting up ready for the journey in their chambers; he's already in full armour and is now fastening his sword to his hip. He glances at Rosa with a grave expression, then indicates a thick winter cloak left on the bed for her.]

We're leaving right now. Dress warmly; Narshe's climate is extremely cold.

Yes, there are injuries. Ursula's with me and she won't wake up. Something fell and hit her on the head. I know there are more people trapped in the shaft, but debris has us cut off from them. Two are already dead.
