[What comes on the screen can only be found in one place on Gaia, the deepest point inside the Iifa Tree on the broad platform now used to view the Farplane. But the focus isn't on the flower field hovering in the distance on the far end of the platform, but rather the sheer expanse and depth beneath the tree proper, and what looks like a coursing, green river of life that shimmers. There is so much of it that it appears to drop into the world forever, filling its core.

Meanwhile, Dah Vis and Hana Kohl are arguing about the nature of the pulsating liquid below.]

I dunno, it looks like myrrh to me.

But that girl said it's a Lifestream.

I still say it looks like myrrh. Look at it!

Go get the chalice.

[The view changes to Dah Vis placing his chalice on the floor of the platform. Unlike most of the chalices scattered around Gaia, this one is completely full. They've not had much else to do in Gaia but travel and swindle and get some myrrh at their own leisure. The chalice wobbles, then the crystal on top breaks out into a blinding glow. Streaks of light shoot out from the top of it,  and then arc directly into the Lifestream below, as the chalice empties.]

Well I'll be...

Now what do we do?

((ooc: Again, plot relevant post. Threadjacks and talking amongst yourselves is highly encouraged. Especially for the VII and IX crews with the talk of Great Crystals and Meteor.))

[The video feed shows a pair of Selkies looking awfully relaxed considering the current state of the world. They're standing in front of the entrance to Fossil Roo, armed and laden with medicinal supplies. Their trading cart's been left behind for now. Hana Kohl speaks up first, although Dah Vis is quick to interject.]

Anyone looking to escape from the Mist Continent can come with us. We'll escort you through Fossil Roo.

As long as you don't mind bugs.

What he means is we'll get you to the Gargant Cars.

[Let the buyer beware. These two are still Selkies and they'll have a price for their services, although they're most likely to spring that on refugees after they've gotten their escort.]

[After being jostled about from one realm to another, Ondore is certainly grateful to be returned to Gaia. While the irony of it all certainly didn’t go unnoticed, the Marquis decides to prepare a detailed message for friends and acquaintances alike hailing from his realm of Ivalice.

He does not filter this message from Gaian eyes, nor does he filter his words from the eyes of commoners. In Ondore’s belief, there’s no need to filter the truth from those willing to see it.

Besides, this may prove to be rather education for all.]

How peculiar and how odd such a journey has been since my arrival to Gaia. Whisked away from land and home, many of us found ourselves abandoned within a realm not our own. Exiled by fate and sorcery, many of us began on a madding quest to become accustom the cultures we’ve experienced here.

Some of us chose to mimic the Gaians through observation alone, while others divulged deeper within literature in order to understand them. While both endeavors are noble enough, I do believe many of us have forgotten how little culture plays in human behavior. Their anger is warranted, just like their fear. The phenomenon I have witnessed beyond Gaia’s soil certainly proves this true.

Ivalice is Ivalice no more, but rather a realm mismatched by Garland’s magick. Banora trees now line the abandoned ruins of Ridorana, and Mount Bur-Omisace now thrives beside an active volcano that threatens to melt its icy slopes. Such a phenomenon isn’t limited to merely the changing of the soil, but the changing of the people as well.

Lilites now walk Archadian streets much to the Empire’s displeasure, and Yukes now flock to Bhujerba to exchange knowledge with all those hailing from Dorstonis. Dalmasca has changed very little in comparison of other realms, but now tribes of Shelkies roam the desert landscape alongside with rogue Seeqs and Bangaas in search of treasure. What this treasure could be one can only imagine, but such a unity amongst the newcomers and the patrons of Ivalice is quite humbling.

Such a time has prompted Ivalice to change rapidly through discussion. The temperament there is as heated as ever, but I can proudly state that the threat of war no longer looms over Ivalice’s shadow.

Diplomacy is what guides the land of my birth, and diplomacy is what shall guide Gaia through this time of crisis.

[Rydia is seated at the end of a table, a long stack of books shown behind her. People glance at her as they pass by, but she takes no notice of them and their curious stares. Instead, the summoner lifts an object -by now familiar to some- to the screen.]

Well, I found another one. How many does that make, now?

[Later on, the video feed resumes, showing Rydia from the viewpoint of the library floor. Her hands are on her hips and she's speaking sharply at whoever is out of view.]

For the last time, Edge is not 'in cahoots' with Lufene. Were you even here during the battle, or did you sleep through it?! He put his life on the line to defend this city, the one she wanted to level! Go, and don't let me catch you spouting such nonsense again.

[Footsteps are heard speedily retreating as Rydia sighs and facepalms.]

Idiot....

[Seems every time Bartz sends a message to the network he's surrounded by chocobos. This time he's in the stables at Figaro Castle, he wandered back there at some point while visiting Terra. He really does gravitate toward the birds if left to his own devices.

He takes a chalice from a pocket in his travelling cloak.]

Forgot I had this until now.

Anyone know whose it is? I found it half-buried in the plains, a mile or so outside Lindblum. I was meaning to hand it over to the guard there but, well, there were other things I had to deal with and I got distracted. Looks fancy, I figure someone must be missing it.

Let me know if it's yours. I'll make sure it gets back to you.

[A video feed abruptly turns on and then the howl of an undead could be heard. The video feed itself is showing at an odd again, and not much could be seen except part of a wall and the ceiling of the inside some broken down building and the giant roots of a tree through the wall.

Then there was grunt, followed by an odd gurgling sound, and the audio goes silent, except for the sound of footsteps and then Squall himself moves slowly into view.

Squall doesn't seem to have noticed the communicator on the ground, much less that it's broadcasting publicly. He's looking around in a bit of a daze at his surroundings, the Lionheart held loosely in one hand.]

A dream...? Or just another trap by Chaos?

[Feed is shaky as it comes on, then pans onto Dah Vis' face. He's standing somewhere in the vicinity of Conde Petie if the sound of 'Rally-ho!' in the background is any indication.]

Anyone interested in a Clavat baby? We found one in our camp this morning and don't know what to do with it.

[Video turns to show Hana Kohl holding a red haired baby, looking both perplexed and irritated.]

It's clearly a Lilty baby, look at the tuft on its head. And why do I have to hold it anyway. You mind it.

Do you have eyes in your head? It can't be Lilty. There's no plant budding from it, just hair.

You ever seen a Clavat with hair this color, you ignoramus? Lilty I tell you.

[The bickering continues until the post times out.]
