[Following a narrow escape from the Lunatic Pandora before the Lunar Cry, Cecil and Rosa managed to make it back to Troia. They've had little opportunity to rest after the failed attempt to stop Lufene, but Cecil has already pledged his aid to Mysidia. While he stands guard to the entrance to the Devil's Road, waiting for Porom to come and unseal it from the other side, without warning something tugs at the back of his mind. It's a strange sensation, like something is being pulled, or a presence that is fading quickly. Not just a presence -- someone is fading.]
Ceodore?!
[He looks around urgently, not even certain how his son's name came to his lips. He can feel him, he's certain of it, but there's something wrong. The guards accompanying him all look at him in alarm, but Cecil pays them no heed. Suddenly, the feeling snaps. Vanishes. Somehow, he just knows without being able to explain: Ceodore has departed from Gaia.
Trying to do his best to remain calm, he flips open his Sky Phone and tries to reach his son. Nothing. Then he tries Ursula for what must already be the tenth time. Again, no one picks up. His heart sinks with dread. He should have known this would happen, given all the disappearances from their world, but -- why now? Why to his son and goddaughter?
He immediately leaves the crystal chamber to find Rosa and inform her, with instructions to the guards to alert him immediately if Porom reaches the seal in the meantime. He's not sure Rosa will believe him based on something as vague as an instinctive feeling, but Cecil and Ceodore have always had that inexplicable connection; if something happened to one of them, the other would be the first to know. He can't deny what it bodes, as much as he wants to.]
[A while after, he'll be making a broadcast, appearing strained, but maintaining a semblance of strength despite that. He has to be strong, for his people and to wear out the current crisis.]
Those seeking refuge travelling from Mysidia to Troia, do not worry about provisions or lodgings. Troia will be doing all it can to accommodate as many refugees as possible. We've many empty buildings to spare, and those travelling through will receive full care and protection.
[He takes a deep breath. Now for a more personal announcement, though his tone remains brisk. Now isn't the time for personal grief; that will come once the crisis has passed. If he dwells on it now, it might crush him.]
My son is gone... Ceodore has left Gaia. Ursula is likewise missing. Are there any others unaccounted for?
