[Days – how long had it been? At least a week, maybe longer - of constant, restless fighting in the subterrane took their toll on all of them. It was only Edward's preparation and ability to source – however many ethers she had been forced to take – that had kept her magic flowing for long enough to face the creator. The few hours of sleep they'd managed to snatch on the way weren't nearly enough to recover, serving only to make sure nobody collapsed at an inconvenient time, and the one full night of rest they'd allowed themselves, just before they faced the creator, had been mostly wasted on last minute conversations that always somehow started with 'If we die here'. Telling Cecil that he was still their brother, time and distance and fact that he'd attempted to kill everyone be damned. Asking the people of Damcyan through the whisperweed – the fact that is worked was dreadful in itself. How close was the moon, now? How much time did they even have left? - to send messages to Mysidia should they fail to return. Swearing on the crystal that if Palom wanted to sneak off with Leonora she wouldn't ask any questions. Sobbing something unintelligible about being tired and scared and not wanting to die into Ursula and Luca's shoulders and then having her own shoulder cried on in turn while she smiled and attempted to sound encouraging. One of Edge's younger students – one who seemed somewhat familiar - mumbling something about her being really pretty, reddening face visible even beneath his mask. Eventually falling asleep for a few hours leant against Luca's shoulder, Tsukinowa curled up against her side snoring quietly (and waking and apologizing over and over for disturbing her if she so much as shifted) and Calca and Brina leaning against each other as they sat in the dwarf's lap and waited for everyone else to awake.

No, none of that was wasted time. But it was time that could have been used on rest that was desperately needed. Because even now, now it's all over, Porom is in a less than ideal state. White magic's done away with the bulk of the wounds she received, naturally, but she's pale and trembling with exhaustion, clothes splattered with blood still. Her hair is a complete mess and she's too out of it to seem to care all that much, probably the most worrying sign of all. She looks first at the stone faces surrounding her and then at the skyphone blearily, not quite certain if they or it or the moogle patiently attempting to explain it all to her are real.]

I- I've used one of these devices before, haven't I? I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I-

[There's a brief pause as she blinks in confusion at the skyphone before she freezes instantly in realization.]

-my magic! Why is my magic not working?!

[Night has fallen in the haunted village of Tida, with only the twin moons hovering overhead to shed any light into the empty streets. The phone turns on mid-conversation between a young priestess and a moogle that appears none to happy to be where he's at. They're situated beneath a myrrh tree, but that seems to be the least of the young woman's concerns.]

Like this?

That's right, kupo. Good luck!

W-wait! How did I get here? I don't understand.

Sorry, kupo. I don't like this place.

[Just like that, the moogle is gone, leaving Leonora to peer at the strange box in her hand with the disconcerting sounds of skeletons and abaddons shuffling and moaning in the dark. Before she can beg the creature to come back, one of the skeletons sneaks up behind her and she squeaks with fright, dropping the phone. All that can be seen are her voluminous robes while the audio feed picks up her frantic attempt at protecting herself.]

A... bony thing. An undead! That means, um.... Holy!

The Lunatic Pandora!

[There's a brief glimpse of Moguo's paw before the camera pans up to the Lunatic Pandora. Once stationary over Madain Sari, the gigantic structure is now shifting away from the village. For those who can tell by the position of the sun, it's moving south.]

It's moving, kupo! I have a bad feeling about this...

[ooc: This is the start of the event! Go to this post to plot. Characters have until Tuesday to figure out a way to intercept and board the Pandora. Also, please don't say anything like, "It's heading for Burmecia!" just yet. It's heading south - but who knows how far...]

[After seeing Moguo's video of Lunatic Pandora, Quistis quickly makes a post of her own, looking concerned but under control. Her tone is curt; the feed is primarily directed towards her fellow members of SeeD, but she has decided to leave it open to all interested parties just in case. With Lunatic Pandora on the move, it's going to effect a lot more than just the members of SeeD, after all.]

Did everyone else see the video of Lunatic Pandora? What are we going to do? I can only assume the usual suspects are responsible. Do we have time to stop it before it causes the Lunar Cry? Is it possible to board it and halt its progress?
