Citizens of Gaia,

This is Minister Artania of the Regency of Lindblum. Since the appearance of several new locations last week, we have been conducting a survey to assess the results of this cataclysmic change. I can now tell you that an estimated 10% of the world's population has vanished from Gaia.

These disappearances are on an unprecedented scale. Our condolences go out to all those who have lost family and friends, and those whose livelihoods are under threat. In Lindblum, we are putting together a fund to help those in need. All donations, no matter how big or small, are welcome.

Your maps should also have been updated thanks to our hard-working moogle cartographers. We plan to undertake a more thorough assessment of these new locations in the near future. Please pass on any information you have to me or your local moogle.

[A young woman is seen staring into the skyphone, as if trying to decipher all its functions. After a moment, a moogle can be heard speaking to her, and she looks away.] Um, kupo... if you understand everything, kupo, could you do me a favour?

T-The Zombies, kupo... you Sky People arrive in the most horrible of places! I had to make my way here, kupo, but getting out again... and they seem to avoid you...

Do not worry, moogle. It is of no hindrance to me. I do not wish to tarry long in this place. I shall help you to leave as my thanks.

[There's a distinct 'kupo!' of joy from the moogle, as it trundles off ahead of the woman, who returns to looking at the sky phone.]

It does trouble me that I am here. If this is how to communicate with others- has anyone heard of Clan Gully? If any of its members are here, I would wish to speak with them.

[Bartz hasn't quite been himself for the last few days, whatever being himself counts as, but he's recovered at least a little by the time he gets to Luca. He leads Lin the chocobo through the streets, looking between buildings and a map in an attempt to find wherever Lenna's been staying.]
