mooglenet_backup[In the midst of one of Alfitaria's town squares lies a lad. His weapon, a greatsword of unknown make, comprised mainly of burnished gold and blue steel lies at his side neatly and almost as respectfully as if the youth is dead. Yet dead he is not; his armored chest rises and falls deeply. And he's snoring. Loudly. He doesn't seem to be in any discomfort or have any injuries at all. He's merely sleeping-- though his sleep is deep enough to warrant complete and total exhaustion.
A moogle holds the skyphone, placing it's little face into the screen.]

This isn't his room. A strange, unknown place is before him. ...And that greatsword... It symbolizes the horrors of the war for him. There is no more Machegue. There is no more of his mother. There is no more of his father. He abandons gaping in horror at the town, to check his ears for any linkpearls. Finding none, he glares at the moogle before springing upward and grabbing his sword -- heaving it upward between two arms and pointing it directly at the creature.]
You cur! ...You would drop poison into my ears?!

[Unsurprisingly, he doesn't assume the voice comes from the strange box on the floor.]
