[After being jostled about from one realm to another, Ondore is certainly grateful to be returned to Gaia. While the irony of it all certainly didn’t go unnoticed, the Marquis decides to prepare a detailed message for friends and acquaintances alike hailing from his realm of Ivalice.
He does not filter this message from Gaian eyes, nor does he filter his words from the eyes of commoners. In Ondore’s belief, there’s no need to filter the truth from those willing to see it.
Besides, this may prove to be rather education for all.]
How peculiar and how odd such a journey has been since my arrival to Gaia. Whisked away from land and home, many of us found ourselves abandoned within a realm not our own. Exiled by fate and sorcery, many of us began on a madding quest to become accustom the cultures we’ve experienced here.
Some of us chose to mimic the Gaians through observation alone, while others divulged deeper within literature in order to understand them. While both endeavors are noble enough, I do believe many of us have forgotten how little culture plays in human behavior. Their anger is warranted, just like their fear. The phenomenon I have witnessed beyond Gaia’s soil certainly proves this true.
Ivalice is Ivalice no more, but rather a realm mismatched by Garland’s magick. Banora trees now line the abandoned ruins of Ridorana, and Mount Bur-Omisace now thrives beside an active volcano that threatens to melt its icy slopes. Such a phenomenon isn’t limited to merely the changing of the soil, but the changing of the people as well.
Lilites now walk Archadian streets much to the Empire’s displeasure, and Yukes now flock to Bhujerba to exchange knowledge with all those hailing from Dorstonis. Dalmasca has changed very little in comparison of other realms, but now tribes of Shelkies roam the desert landscape alongside with rogue Seeqs and Bangaas in search of treasure. What this treasure could be one can only imagine, but such a unity amongst the newcomers and the patrons of Ivalice is quite humbling.
Such a time has prompted Ivalice to change rapidly through discussion. The temperament there is as heated as ever, but I can proudly state that the threat of war no longer looms over Ivalice’s shadow.
Diplomacy is what guides the land of my birth, and diplomacy is what shall guide Gaia through this time of crisis.

Date: 2011-01-12 06:26 pm (UTC)Those demons have caused suffering enough. Are we to understand they take further action in the future?
If so, then I ... I would not have this spoken of to Rasler. Not yet at least, not when memory of what passed has only recently begun to relinquish hold upon his conscience.

Date: 2011-01-12 06:57 pm (UTC)On the contrary, it seems that these fiends have been thwarted in the future as well by one Ramza Beoulve. The true hero behind this plot was none other than the youngest son of the Beoulve Household from Eagrose.
[Surely, Ashelia remembers the young sellsword possessing that name.]
As Arazlam told me, the stones were gathered and sealed by none other than Ramza himself. However, any mention of this young lad's heroic deeds was silenced by the Church itself. While such information is truly fascinating to me, I shall advise you not to speak openly about this truth.
I may speak more regarding what I've learned during my brief returned to Ivalice, but for now keep such information privy only amongst your thoughts.

I will do as you ask, uncle.
[Calling him that, it reminds her of a matter which Halim would likely see as a cause for celebration.]
... In your absence fell the first anniversary of Shain's birth. He now walks and runs freely.

Date: 2011-01-12 07:51 pm (UTC)[There was pure awe within the Marquis' tone. He honestly couldn't believe how history can be repeated without anyone knowing the significance of it until all the clues are gathered. It's almost as if Fate itself drives the young Beoulve to be the one to gather and cast the holy stones away.
If this is true, then Halim wonders what Fate has in store for all of them.]
Little Shain can walk now, can he?
[He's pleasantly surprised to hear this bit of news.]
I must pay Rasler and you a visit soon!

Date: 2011-01-13 06:10 pm (UTC)We must place our faith in the hope that what you speak is true. And within Ramza, and those who aid his cause. Even if the events of which you speak will pass within the furthest future. To he, and his compatriots, we are History. The actions we take will directly influence the present as they know it to be.
[Her tone lifts a little when speaking of her child.]
He is... a determined learner. Rasler and I have secured a gift for him; a chocobo chick, which we hope will grow alongside our son as a companion.
Perchance we may see you soon - there is to be a meeting aboard Regent Cid's flagship in mere days. Will you attend?
