Cid Raines has gone out of his way to tarnish Nabaat's good name, and to be frank Cidolfus wanted that whorebastard dead. Raines' reign must be put to an end now, and what better way to do this than to state that the Brigadier General is a backstabbing turncoat who betrayed Cocoon because of his brand as a l'Cie? Cidolfus couldn't even think of a more perfect card to play, so he threw his 'ace' into this game.]

Those of you blinded by the sensationalism that Cid Raines has sparked should lend me your ears!

The man is a liar, a famed one at that! He has chosen to forsake his duties to his own people because he is no longer in debt to either Cocoon or Sanctum. The man is a l'Cie! He betrays the humes for the sake of profiting over their demise.

Those branded by a fal'Cie are no longer human, but rather mere beasts who lust for destruction. This man is no different! He was branded by the fal'Cie of Cocoon, marked upon right-hand. Raines hides this mark well with his gloves, but not even such tactics can erase the taint that is on him.
