[Now that her welcome wagon via land and sky have delivered Penelo to Troia, she's taking the time to look around and stock up on supplies. She's happily discovered her gil is accepted currency and determined to be ready for whatever lies ahead. Oddly, faced with the prospect of being on her own and not having to chase after Vaan, she's not entirely sure what to do with herself, aside from begin the process of finding her friends.
Thus, she's browsing the shops, buying only the bare minimum necessary, and pausing to chat with some of the locals.]

Chuckling softly, Edward continued a delightfully haunting melody to correspond with the dancer's movements. It was a song that many in Damcyan were fond of, a cheerful tune (http://www.emclute.com/download/luteduo/12lagall.mp3) that could easily win the smile of any passersby nearby.]

[Her scarf she settled around her shoulders for the time, using it's thin covering to block the chill around her. While the nearing spring was warming the air, it was still quite cool compared to her native sands.]

Date: 2010-03-13 01:33 am (UTC)Thank you. I danced in the bazaars at home; I've really missed it.
I enjoyed your music. Is that a song from your home?

Date: 2010-03-13 03:24 am (UTC)Indeed, that it was. It's an ode to Damcyan, the country of my birth. It is a tune widely known to it's citizens, a melody I gladly play whenever I reminiscence of peaceful days.
[Rising to his feet, Edward dusted himself off briefly.]
Tell me, Penelo, does your homeland possess a similar tune? Is there a song or two that speaks of where you are from?

It's been a while since I've seen home. I really miss it sometimes.
When I close my eyes, I can see the streets and the buildings, all the people walking around; I can almost hear and smell it all. Your song reminded me of it. So thank you.

Date: 2010-03-15 02:31 am (UTC)You are more than welcomed of course but it sounds if you truly miss your homeland, Penelo, in the similar fashion as I miss my kingdom.
[He let out a slight sigh as he thought of Damcyan.]
What is the name of you homeland? I hail from the kingdom of Damcyan, a once regal country that sat within the middle of the desert.

'Once regal'? Did something happen?
