[When Zack walks out his front door, he does not arrive in a Luca street as he should.

No, when he turns on the sky phone, he shows off a different sky, one not as bright as Luca's.  And then his face comes into view and he's both smiling and...in awe.]

I never thought I'd see this place again.

[He turns the phone around to show a house.  Nothing fancy, just a two story country home, but obviously it means something to him.]

No one seems to be around, but...hey!  I wonder if the big tree is still around!

[And he starts running, heading toward the edge of town, where he sees, yup, the Really Big Tree.]

Ohho, Garganto.  We meet again.

[Phone back to his face.]

Cloud, Aerith, this is the tree I climbed when I was about ten or so.  That's a big deal in Gongaga because it's, well, a really tall tree, so I conquered it.  And then uh...kinda fell out of it.  Hit the big rock at the bottom and broke some ribs.  I still have the scar.

[He says all of this proudly, even if others might have been embarrassed at the latter part.  But for Zack, his scar is a battle scar from his early life, just another event that made him stronger on his way to becoming SOLDIER.]

Man.  I can almost smell and taste my childhood right now.  I wish you guys could, too.

[When the image kicks in, Refia can't be seen at first - just the shaking of the camera as she walks through a rather oppulent building with wide corridors. Bits of a white mage's sleeve keep swinging into view, and her steps are slightly... hesitant.]

...Doga? Unei? Is- Is anyone here?

[It's almost like she's a little scared to find someone.]

Luneth? Arc? ...Ingus? Please... Anyone?

[Like a few people, Tidus isn't too happy to have ended up where he did. This place ranked pretty low on his Favorite Memories of Spira list, after all. But unlike other people, he sounds downright annoyed by it.]

Okay, whatever's doing this, it's not funny! Knock it off al- whoa!

[The camera shakes wildly for a second as Tidus throws his body weight to one side to not miss the turn that's going to save him from plunging off the end of the runway before straightening out. Even worse, he got dropped in the middle of the maze and not the beginning - he couldn't even backtrack out the easy way, and has to ride everything all the way to the bottom working on memories that are now closing on two years old.]

Come on, this is nuts! I don't care if it's Garland or Lufene or whatever, just leave us alone so we can liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!

[...He missed the second turn, though.]

[ Denzel finds himself stood inside a very familiar house. A house that shouldn't exist anymore. A house that should be buried under the fallen Sector 7 plate. It's his house. The house he lived in with his Mom and his Dad.

All their stuff is still there, meaning they hadn't started to move into the new house in Sector 5 – a move that was never finished. He looks around, poking his head into the kitchen, and despite knowing deep down that nothing will come of it, he finds himself unable to keep from calling out. ]

Mom? Dad? Arkham?

[ He sighs when there's no answer and continues to make his way through the house, up the stairs to his bedroom – a typical spoiled child's room. Toys, gadgets, posh clothes, everything a spoiled boy from the Plates could need. He flops down on his bed and clutches a picture of his family in his hands. ]

Mom...

[The camera clicks on, and for a moment all that can be seen in the rocky ground beneatg his feet. As the Sky Phone moves, however, the speakers are fills with static as wind blows over the device. It clears once the operator finally holds it steady, panning back to show the waste land between the cliffs and the now ruined city of Midagr. It holds there for a moment before moving, his body slowly twisting with it as he does a slow three hundred and sixty degree turn, taking in the rocks behind him, as well as the full view of the city down below.

Despite what one might gather due to his avid filming of the location, he wasn't all that happy to be back.]

Nver thought I'd see this place again.

[And them the view chances. The edge of the cliff can no longer be seen, instead, all that can be seen in the empty, barren land before, along with the city, looming in the distance. The Sky Phone has been laid down, on a rock, persumably, and is now filming him as he stands on near the edge, looking outwards, as if he were trying to spot something. But all he could see was the city.

The last thing the camera picks up is him walking towards it, lifting it once more. He's not even going to ask the question of "how do I get out of here?" because he's pretty sure no one knows the answer to that. Instead, he's just gonna sigh, because he really, really wants to down off of this cliff.]

Who all ended up in Midgar? We should meet somewhere, until we can figure this out.

[Given some of the things he'd been hearing about the place, Setzer had almost thought the half-seen glimpses of something very much familiar out of the corner of his eye were more a sign of him starting to lose it than anything. Needless to say, the fact that he walked through a door only to find himself there was a more than welcome surprise.

And naturally, the first thing he does is see if she's still in working order (thankfully, yes) and if he can actually fly her (no, unfortunately).

By the time he actually turns the video on, he's seated in the captain's cabin, looking quite pleased with things, even if he can't fly. He's missed his ship something fierce, these days.]

Not quite the turn I'd expected, given the hands I've seen played out. But I dare say I won't complain too much about having found a stroke of luck in this game.

[The feed opens on a very disheveled-looking Quistis, who quickly moves to smooth her hair down as she clears her throat, looking curiously into the camera. Behind her, one can see a glimpse of Luca's docks -- she is sitting on one of a number of crates at the end of the pier.]

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that time warp would pull be into another world entirely... still, after experiencing time compression, I'm ready to believe anything is possible. Hello? This is Quistis Trepe of SeeD. Did... anyone else end up here, too? [Her voice hitches slightly higher as she frets.] ... anyone?

Kuja has staked claim over the Lunatic Pandora...

(ooc: Sorry for the backdated post, but this comes it a few days before this weekends event. Let's say everyone received this on Wednesday of last week (January 19), shall we? :3 The log may not be finished yet, but here is what happened.)
