[For any in the know, the room the king is standing in is clearly his workshop in the basement of Figaro Castle; for any who haven't seen it, it's still pretty obviously an engineering room. Edgar is setting up the phone to record a wider area, another in his hand that he got off a moogle. There's a head of blonde hair behind him as well, though it's hard to see over his shoulder, and a couple pompoms wandering around mostly out of camerasight.]
One more... And... [The screen futzes a little then goes steady, focusing on Edgar.] Much better. Hello, everyone. General Chere and I would like to report on the progress we've made with the feature we discussed at the last meeting. With the help of the moogles ('You mean me!'), especially Mogrina, we've managed to implant two test devices with a small explosive that will activate when sent a signal over the skyphone network. At the moment only I have this code; Regent Cid, when next we meet in person, I'll explain how it works. Now, Celes, if you- Ahh, thank you Kapio.
[A pair of moogle paws is shifting the camera to show both Edgar and Celes better, framing them both in the picture even though Celes is at another table.]
Now, General Chere has one of the devices [Celes holds hers up in proof, then places it on the table in front of her.], and as you can see I have the other in my hand. Now, if Celes were to lose hers, I would be able to erase it simply by calling her device.
[Edgar punches in the code for the test phone, which starts to ring, then proceeds to talk over the ringing.] The connection between the devices must be active, but the moogles and I are discussing a way to set it to activate the next time the device is turned on. Until then, this will at least do for a test. There is a five-number code that you input, like so-
[But Edgar only gets one number in before the other phone starts shooting sparks, then little lightning bolts. In less than a second, it explodes - hard enough to take a chunk out of the table and send Celes diving for cover. Edgar is stunned into silence, as are the moogles, long enough for a female voice to cough and speak up from behind her smoking table.]
Of all the magic in the Warring Triad, OW.
[Edgar watches for another minute, then turns back to the camera with an abnormally calm expression on his face.] We'll get back to you all, then.

[The screen turns on to a scene not of chaos, but still obviously where some accident happened judging by the amount of smoke filling the room behind Edgar.]
If I could ask someone to bring bandages and ointment to the workshop, please?
[The video cuts out just as Celes' voice shouts out 'Edgar! What a-']
