035 - Tifa - Action (as open as can possibly be)

[It's summertime in Luca and the city is bustling. Tifa might be at home, cooking dinner or chasing the cat or practising her martial arts moves out in the garden. Or she might be at the flower shop, where she's been lending an occasional hand since Aerith vanished. Or she might be at a cafe in the city centre where she recently got a part-time job as a waitress.

Whatever the case, she's always open for friends or strangers to bump into her.]


[ooc: Yeah, so this is basically just a 'make up whatever you like' post to thread with Tifa. Backdate it, forward date it, whatever's convenient. [She might, if she's not too busy, get the chance to glimpse Vincent in Luca one day. With summer here and Rishfee having essentially kicked him out of the Mire, he'd headed down to Luca. Not because he particularly enjoyed it there in summertime, but because it was familiar.]

[Oh, Vincent, you are so social. If Tifa hadn't been out doing her shopping, she might not have realised he was in Luca at all. As it is, she's carrying a few brown paper packages when she spots Vincent and while she can't exactly wave with her hands full, she does smile and call over.]

Vincent! Hey!

[It's not like he can slip off when it's obvious that she's seen him, so instead he turns and approaches, and even silently offers to take one of the packages she's carrying.]

Thanks! I didn't know you were in Luca. [A pause as she juggles the remaining packages before looping a strand of hair behind her ear.] Did you come to visit us?

[Every now and then, Yuna sends the knight on important quests. Like rescuing milk from the shops. And fighting the evil weeds. He's not tricked, of course, and he knows he's being condescended to just a little. But he doesn't mind all that much. For once.

Right now, he's on the way back from escorting (not delivering) flowers. Since the shop needs all the extra hands it can get. He returns to the flower shop triumphantly.]

I'm back! They got there safely.

Great! [Tifa looks up from checking off their stock and smiles. She doesn't want to talk down to him really, especially since he is a bit self-important, but hey, Yuna asked and he is eager to help. She glances up at the clock.]

They said they'll be coming up later, they need to talk about white hibiscuses or something? Something about decorating for a wedding party in a few weeks.

[Denzel, you are the best son in the world. Especially when you've had a long tiring day with some irate customers to deal with. Tifa blinks when he presents the flowers and cake.]

[Auron had taken it upon himself to explore this Luca. Still a small wonder how different yet how similar it was to home. Perhaps, if Tifa was around as well, she would spy him taking in the newness of an old city.]

[If she smells strongly of flowers, it's because she just left the shop where they had a slight disaster with a display that wasn't quite stable. She still has a few petals in her hair. She's walking home like she normally does when she blinks, does a double take. Wait. Is that Auron? Tifa pauses and turns back.]

Hey, Auron?

[Auron turns towards the direction of the voice.]

Tifa. [When he approaches her, he sees the petals in her hair.] It looks like you had a fight with a garden.

[She smiles ruefully, hand going to her hair to try and brush the remaining petals out.]

I kind of did. Accident at the shop. You look the same as ever, Auron. Are you here to visit Tidus and Yuna?

[ Well this little dancer's going to be walking around the city today. She needs a little get out and walk time after the fiasco at Oerba. She actually takes a look at the flower shop, looking to see how different the flowers here are from Gran Pulse. She's smelling one when she hears Tifa enter and turns around. ]

[ It's been a long time since they really had anything to do with each other and Vanille wants to fix that. ]

[Tifa's just starting a shift and it's a pleasant surprise to see Vanille already in the shop. She moves to join her at once.]

How're you? It's been so long since we've spoken! [ Especially in person. ]

Sorry, I guess I got busy all of a sudden there. I'm fine. [She smiles, casting her eyes around the shop.] Business is going well. So, are you looking for any particular flowers?

[Someone's coming back in through the city from another round of monster hunting - at this rate, she and the rest of the l'Cie will have the market on that cornered. But she spots a familiar figure in the cafe nearby, and figures it's about time to do proper introductions.]

Hey. [Fang waits until she's sure she's got Tifa's attention before continuing.] You're Light's friend, aren't you? The one with the kids.

[Tifa recognises her and walks over. The one with the kids, huh? She gives a slightly wry smile at that.]

That's me. The name's Tifa. You're Fang, right?

Got it in one. Heard Vanille mention you the other day, too, so I figured it was time to meet proper and all.

[Tidus has been roped into helping at the shop himself for the day, since there's a fair number of very heavy things to move around and he's available slave labor. At the moment, he's carrying a huge stack of pots, probably too many, waiting for anyone to tell him where they're supposed to go.]

[Well, never let it be said that Yuna doesn't know how to put people to work. Tifa stifles a smile.]

Wow, that's a lot of plant pots. I don't think we have any one space big enough for them all... Could you put half of them in that corner over there with the gardening stuff, and take the rest back to the stock room? We just need enough for display, and people always want to see the flowers more than anything else.

[Yuna has him wrapped around her little finger, and he's perfectly aware of it and doesn't mind one bit.]

Awwwww, Tifaaaaa, you mean I carried all of them out here for nothing?

[Still, whatever griping he's doing is clearly half-jest, since... well, he volunteered for this, and he can unvolunteer at any time. He follows the first part of her directions, but drops the whole stack down at the spot she indicated to give his back a little break for a minute.] Man, I never knew clay could be so heavy.
