[Action at Eidolon Wall] Myrrh Hunt

[Ever since the arrival of the singing statue within the safety of the Eidolon Wall, it's song has become just a part of the sacred enclosure as the murals and the prayer incense. To find the area silent disturbs Eiko in ways even she can't say. But even more upsetting is the presence of the Eidolon wreathed in darkness. She's only ever seen the apparition of the fayth over the statue, never her "Aeon" and now that she is looking at it, it's upsetting. That Eidolon is in chains and looks to be in pain! That only serves to anger the child who pulls out a flute and looks first to her guardians, then to her summoner family.]

We have to help her!

[All notions that they're here to gather something from that tree has gone forgotten in her righteous fury that someone would chain a summon.]

[Rydia regards the Eidolon with a mixture of sadness and determination. She doesn't want to fight Anima, but they don't really have a choice. Glancing to Eiko, the green-haired summoner realizes that the girl might not have seen Anima like this before.]

She's always like that, Eiko. We--

[And the being looks as though it's powering up for something. Not taking anything for granted, she uses her wizards' rod to grant all with them Protect and Shell.]

[ Vanille doesn't want to fight Anima, either, but this looks serious. She takes a deep breath and nods to her friends before she gathers herself and starts using her special ability Death. It won't outright kill Anima, she knows, but it will deal a lot of damage. ]

[He's never actually been in here -- he recalls that last time he remained back out of respect for the creatures; yet now he did not have that choice. He remains close to Eiko, sparing little words for the other summoners. That is, until he sees the creature confined within chains. He steps forward, the hint of a limp still apparent from the last myrrh gathering session.]

Gather together.

[And he starts casting Diamondhide (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Diamondhide) -- a spell intended to absorb a certain amount of damage from any attacks before shattering. It saves them one hit, at least. He's well aware of how physically weak summoners actually are. And then he diffuses battery charge (http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Battery_Charge) -- a field of electricity that, diffused, encompasses every member of the group; gradually restoring any MP they should use at a quick rate. Then, silently, he moves beside the child summoner again -- drawing his kilijs.]

[It's certainly the most intimidating Eidolon Hope has ever seen, and he sorely wishes he could summon right now -- Alexander would be a match for Anima in both size and strength. For now he follows Rishfee's command and stays close to the group, and focuses on casting Haste on everyone. The speed boost will help, since an Eidolon chained to the ground should be slow to act... Hopefully.]

[Eiko does as she's bidden by Rishfee, moving in closer and grateful that the others have buffs well in hand. She wastes no time in summoning Madeen, who appears like a winged lion and hovers protectively in front of her little summoner. The child's not willing to actually fight the Eidolon if they don't have to, but she's bright enough to know they might yet.]

[The screech that results from Vanille's spell nearly causes Rydia to lose her concentration, but she manages to pull through. As the Eidolon closes in, she summons Mist Dragon for aid. The pale dragon appears and opens her maw, sending forth a stream of bright energy to knock back that which dares threaten the summoners.

Rydia hopes that's enough to also knock some sense into Anima, but that's not to be. The dark being responds with an attack of its own; Mega-Graviton (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_X_Enemy_Abilities#Mega-Graviton).]

[ The retaliation of Anima hurts and Vanille yells out in pain, her knees buckling temporarily. When the attack finishes, she's not asleep, but she can't cast anything to help and her next attempt at Death is much slower than it was. Also, her vision is completely blacked out and she's afraid she misses her target completely. ]

[Sephiroth had no answer for the girl's question, but the results of the attack were obvious and once he'd treated himself with a remedy he held in stock, he passed one to Eiko and after a moment of consideration of how many he had, he tossed one over to the girl whom had spoken since she was also obviously suffering the effects of Anima's attack. He considered launching his own attack, but he'll wait until the way is clear so he doesn't end up hit by friendly fire.]

[Recovering from being struck by the attack himself, Hope runs to her side, ready to cast an Esuna spell, but the tall guy in black has it covered with Remedies. He nods to him gratefully, then casts a Curaga spell on the whole group to heal; the other summoners and their Eidolons seem to have the offensive taken care of.]

[Steiner has the Crystal Chalice safely tucked away but that won't stop him from being in the thick of it. He sees it as his duty to guard the others. As he's charging in, however, Anima's attack knocks him right back - and he keels over, fast asleep.]
