[Edge is sitting in front of the library waiting around for Rydia. He's been thinking about things again which can be dangerous. He even left his duties early, because thinking about his wife was distracting and he could have given away the whole city if he wasn't careful.]

[Rydia steps inside a little while later, having been informed as to Edge's whereabouts. She peers around for him, then smiles as she heads over.]

Well, this is a change. I thought you'd still be busy with work.

[Seeing his wife brings a smile to his face along with a hint of caught playing hooky from work.]

I took the afternoon off. I couldn't concentrate anyway. Kept thinking about the other night.

[He reaches his arm around her. It's so easy to get lost in those eyes. Come on Edge, you can't seriously be thinking of making out in the library.]

[Rydia raises an eyebrow and smiles, leaning into him.]

If I didn't, you would have known about it long ago. Of course I do. Who do you ask now?

[He rests his chin on her head. Not being able to stay away from her, he has to be able to think somehow and maybe placing his lips out of view will help.]

I was born a prince and I know what I have to do.

[But he never thought past the benefits of marriage.]

I never thought of what my Queen could do.

Well, it's not like I've been idle...and I still don't really count as a queen, here.

[But nitpicking aside, she looks thoughtful as she squeezes him.]

Rosa helps share Cecil's burden, doesn't she? I can do that. This responsibility won't be yours alone.

[Edge frowns at her. She's the Queen of Eblan wherever they live, before looking a little confused.]

Do you want to sit with me all day?

[Rydia's brow furrows. Politics isn't her forte and she suspects a lot of it's dull to boot, but she married him knowing that it was going to be part of their lives.]

Not all day, but it's something I should probably get used to on some level, especially during important occasions. It wouldn't be fair to leave it all to you.

[She's right more than she thinks as his job is boring most of the time. Why does she think he's always playing hooky to be with her?]

I said I wanted to help, didn't I? I don't have the experience you do in that, but it doesn't mean I can't contribute. Chalices and crystals and Garland aside, our lives will be here and I want to focus on that when we get the chance.
