[The video opens with a certain pilot sleeping away, leaned up against a water fountain with rather colorful display behind. Oh, and a few moogles hovering around him in an almost vain attempt to awake him from a previously drunken stupor.]

He's not waking up, kupo... [One covers its mouth in worry.]

[Another shakes its head.] And he smells like a bar!

[One final other, with little paws on it's hips, sighs;] Try waking him up again, kupo!

[Cid's cheek gets poked and he flinches with a little grumble, swatting a hand at nothing.] Nngh... goddamn... bugs...

.... Again, kupo. [The pilot then gets his hair sharply tugged and he snaps to alert, that idly swatting hand suddenly moving with reason; sending a moogle to fly off-screen and hit the ground with a small noise.]

H-holy shi—you alright? [He moves to sit up more, wavering and leaning over to the floating again creature.]

Just fine, kupo! [Then, the three moogles all start to fly off, the one that was hit pointing to the screen.] This is your new phone!

[The voices start to fade off.] Welcome to Gaia! Take care!

Goodbye, kupo~!

.... "Welcome ta Gaia"? ... No shit. Where the hell else would I be? [Cid flops back down to light a cigarette, looking around suspiciously. ] Though I dunno where the hell this place is, [He starts getting up, taking a long drag and reaching for his new phone.] Pretty sure I was home in bed when I passed out. [Came the sigh and puff of smoke as he closed his phone, the transmission ending.]

It was originally nine. We only lost one. [And that's when he looks down to the ground. It had been a few years since it happened but it's still hard to swallow, even for a man like Cid.

Cid saw that look on her too, sighing quietly and taking another hit on his cigarette. So they both had sore spots; he'd leave it at that.]

Shit, I got a whole list 'a people I wouldn't mind seein' right now. Cloud Strife? Tifa Lockhart? They're usually close ta each other. Barret Wallace? Yuffie Kisaragi? Vincent Valentine? Though he's a bit of'va recluse than anything else so I doubt you've seen 'im.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know Vincent Valentine! I've actually met him in person, as well. We fought together recently.



I'd tell you a good place to find him, but it's very dangerous there. He's pretty incredible, though.

[Cid shook his head at her as she gave her condolences.] Not that I don't appreciate it but it's been awhile now, she's... [Still greatly missed. But he didn't want to get into it; it was still a sore spot for as old as it was.

But her knowing Vincent was something he didn't think was all that possible. If she was giving these negative responses to the more out-going members of the group he really didn't expect her to know Vincent. So he stopped, just staring at her for a moment or two.] Really, now? Guess is can be a kinda social butterfly...

Yeah, Vince is a pretty incredible guy. An' I've been through dangerous plenty before, darlin', where is he?

Ask who? [clearly, Cid seems a little offended. He didn't have a babysitter.] I don't report ta anybody, why would ya have ta ask somebody if I can go anywhere I want?

[He'd been through a lot, actually, and knew how to fight well. Cid might not have been as fluid with guns and magic but the man knew how to fight with tact and the occasional explosive. Even if he liked to use his spear more than anything.]

Calm down. The man is... He's what you'd think of as a guardian for the area. If you stepped inside on your own he'd be more likely to kill you than help you, and the land is infested with lamia and merrow who lure men to their deaths with sweet songs and seduction.

You wouldn't stand a chance... So I'll escort you. It's safer that way. And we can surprise Vincent.



A lot of us are working to save this world, since it's all we have now. Garland--the man responsible for the spell that brought us here--needs to be stopped before he destroys all of the worlds. I'm unsure as to how it helps yet, but we've been instructed to collect droplets of myrrh into chalices, though the trees are guarded by vile beasts.

I'll help anyone who has a chalice get their myrrh as well. Knowing the nature of those beasts, people shouldn't go in unprepared like we did. Rishfee and I nearly died, and Vincent... He changed into something else entirely to save us.
