[The back of Lilisette's head had only throbbed more as the white, puffball had started speaking to her. Its words went in one ear and out of the other as she idly listened, its speech familiar but not quite on par with her own world. Speaking of, the last thing she remembered was the tear-streaked face of her tag-team partner and the gaping vortex of Atomos's mouth as it loomed in the sky. Had she accomplished her task? Was she able to fulfill at least part of her promise to Lilith before she was spirited away to this mystery world?]
Hey! [When she looked up to demand answers from the creature, the space around her was empty. An illusion? As a flush of panic and frustration began to snake up her neck, the weight of the communication device registered in her palm, as well as the pamphlet wedged between that and her thumb. Lilisette presses her lips together and huffs. This must be some kind of joke.]
[Stepping back, she observed the vast town that was overlooked by a large castle. At the very least she had landed somewhere that held some semblance to her home, the city vaguely resembling San d'Oria, though it was not Elvaan that passed her in the streets. For once she missed the pompous, pious race that towered over her, but she made it a point to meet every wary gaze thrown her way with a light challenge in her eyes.]
Altana, I pray you've some purpose for this. [Lilisette sighed and rubbed the back of her neck as she grew bored of standing about, looking like a fish out of water. If she was given something that looked, under some stretch of the imagination, like a linkpearl, she supposed she should use it. At that point she had nothing else to lose.]
[Setting the device on a pallet of chopped wood, she furrowed her brows as she fidgeted with the buttons for a moment. After a few tries the light went green, and she stood back with a smile--pleased. Pressing the backs of her lightly curled fists into the small of her back she puffed out her chest a bit and stood back.]
I presume there are others in possession of this device, though I don't dare to hope that any of you are from Vana'diel. [What did she used to do when the met people, before she traveled to the past and became famous? It was awkward--her stomach was in knots. How unlike her.]
Well, if anyone is out there, I suppose you'll make yourselves known. [She turns to the side, the red ruffles that lined the light fabric of the dress she wore swaying in the wind along with her short, red hair and the blue feathers of her hair ornament.] I would also be grateful to know where I am, and where I might go.
[A beat of silence passes before she leans in close to the camera, the golden pendent on her lace choker catching the sunlight along with the star dangling from her earring. It's her mischievous grin, though, that seems most prominent.] Remember--it's rude to keep a lady waiting.

Date: 2011-05-11 09:36 pm (UTC)Ah! I have one.
[Mjrn moves away from the screen for a few moments. When she returns, she shows hers.]
There are many, and often have they appeared with those who arrive. There is one available for auction in Treno, as well.
I believe they carry great importance for this world.
Date: 2011-05-11 09:45 pm (UTC)Ah... Oh! So that's what it is.
Treno is... Do you know of any other way to obtain them?
Date: 2011-05-11 10:13 pm (UTC)It is possible they might appear near myrrh trees. That is their purpose; to collect myrrh. I do not recall one located in Troia; however, Mysidia does.
Date: 2011-05-11 10:32 pm (UTC)Well, I suppose a trip to Mysidia is in my future! But, just to be clear--these myrrh trees aren't man-eating treants, are they? Not that it would be a problem if they were...
Date: 2011-05-11 11:17 pm (UTC)No, they are not. They do not move, let alone eat others. Yet...they are ancient, and carry many memories within. That is what the myrrh contains.
Date: 2011-05-12 12:27 am (UTC)Is myrrh not a simple sap created by the trees? I've heard of them having healing properties, but never memories. What an interesting tale.
Date: 2011-05-12 12:49 am (UTC)The myrrh I speak of is a mystical dew, produced by the myrrh trees. The Selkies, who hail from the world in which they are found, may be able to explain better than I. However, I have learned that it is vital to protecting their towns.
Date: 2011-05-12 01:51 am (UTC)I apologize for asking you so much. Um... Thank you for being patient with me.
Date: 2011-05-12 02:12 am (UTC)I do not mind. Many of us were newly arrived, once. We required patience then, as well.
The Selkies are nomadic, yet they will often respond over the Sky Phone.

Date: 2011-05-12 03:11 am (UTC)...there is a passage which connects Troia to Mysidia, but it is very dangerous. I do not recommend it, save in emergencies. Many undead roam that passage.
Date: 2011-05-12 03:31 am (UTC)I'm itching to fight, especially if there are fomor involved, but I suppose I should see what plays out here first.
Date: 2011-05-12 03:59 am (UTC)That is wise. Aid would be appreciated, but you must know; there was recently an event named the Lunar Cry. It brought forth many monsters which devastated the Mist Continent. Even now, many yet roam.

Date: 2011-05-12 03:49 pm (UTC)Some do, though others do not. In truth, it currently matters little. The kingdoms and nations present do not war with each other, but strive against Garland, the man who destroyed this world's balance...and that of all.

Date: 2011-05-12 05:19 pm (UTC)[Video]
Date: 2011-05-12 05:32 pm (UTC)I've also witnessed similar accounts from those who made pacts with Odin in my world.
Date: 2011-05-12 06:33 pm (UTC)Odin? I recall that name. I am no Summoner, but...he is an Eidolon of this world.
Date: 2011-05-12 08:26 pm (UTC)I'd suggest staying away from him, if you ever cross the reaper's path.
Date: 2011-05-12 08:33 pm (UTC)[Video]
Date: 2011-05-12 08:53 pm (UTC)I've a long tale involving him, but... I'll tell you another time. With any luck, in person.
Date: 2011-05-12 09:14 pm (UTC)Perhaps when I arrive in Troia.
Date: 2011-05-12 09:24 pm (UTC)I look forward to it!
