[action - outskirts of Lindblum.]
May. 3rd, 2011 10:09 pm[Rishfee finally makes it to Lindblum exactly as planned; a few days after the conversation he'd held with Vincent and making himself known to the living world once more. He carries a thick leather sack upon one shoulder; the rest of Nashmau's real exports safely hidden within the Mire amidst the fake exports of silks, perfumes, and tapestries planned for trade with Alexandria.
...It simply wouldn't do to lead a chocobo through Walahra-knew what was happening loaded to the brim with explosives, after all. He stares throughout the uncharacteristic gloom surrounding the besieged capital, and awaits the elder patiently. Some part of him knew that the other would know he was close, whichever form he chose to take. Vincent, after all, was not one to not keep a keen watch on his surroundings at all times.]

Even with the black mage attack he remembered which happened so long ago; nothing had interrupted the stream of airships going in, airships going out. However, this was apparently very different. He studies the scene a little longer, placing the leather sack on the floor very gently.]
...How long has this even been going on?

i thought LJ posted this. My apologies.
Date: 2011-05-16 12:22 am (UTC)You look the worse for wear. Have you been fighting this alone?
[He gestures toward the qujirn explosives, indicating that Vincent can have a look see, should he wish to.]
LJ loves eating tags.
Date: 2011-05-19 11:42 am (UTC)Yes. The demons allow for little else.

However; rolling in monsters in the Veldt was a personal thing -- time to be himself without masks and without concern for anyone or anything else. Truth be told; if he hadn't have took the time he did to reacquaint himself with his abilities, increase his grasp upon them, the less composed he'd be now. And lack of composure, for him, is a very bad thing.
Yet to him at least, it would be preferable to seeing this and imagining the hardship the other has gone through.]
Please rest. I will keep a watch.

Date: 2011-06-01 08:10 pm (UTC)[Vincent isn't as disappointed about it. He managed, and it gave the demons some "run time" that would still keep them from doing harm to anything or anyone important. After the effort he's been putting in to make sure that they weren't released in a battle, so not losing control was the best possible scenario for him.]
You don't need to.

Date: 2011-06-01 08:44 pm (UTC)...This is a qijirn mine. It responds to a button push... here. Ten seconds exactly later, it will detonate. Unfortunately, you cannot program them for a longer or shorter interval. The qijirn tend to use them when they flee, but I am sure you can think of a better use.
[He lightly traces the button, but of course does not push it. Then he hands it to Vincent, before pulling out a circular thing.]
And this is a grenade of goblin manufacture. Again, there is a concealed button within. The grenade is not timed. After the button is pushed; it will explode upon any impact or jolt.
[And there's the brightest of smiles.]
I trust these will do.

He's already examining them thoroughly, testing the weight, how easy they'll be to throw, ho easy it would be to pull one out and quickly hit the button.]
They should. [Understatement.]
