022 - Steiner - Action in Alexandria

[While the great eidolon Alexander has appeared to protect the city, Steiner is outside the city gates, staunchly defending it from any and all intruders. The Alexandrian army has been fully mobilised and his small band of Pluto Knights are as yet standing firm.]

This is it. Go, go!

[As he cuts down yet another foe, he is reminded of the time that Alexandria was invaded by swarms of Mistodons... Kuja's doing. He's determined not to let that happen again.]

We are all lucky.

[Although Beatrix can't say she knows why, but she's absolutely certain that Celes is right.

She turns her attention onto the 'balls of light' that her companion refers to and scrunches up her face for but a moment. It's more like an expression of distaste.]

They certainly are persistent. Do inform me if you should incur injury.

It's all right. [For a minute, she feels a pang of regret that Beatrix doesn't remember, but she pushes it aside. Her friend is back. That's the important thing.] I'm a Paladin, too, and I've got a trick these things don't like.

[Activating her Runic skill, she moves around to the thing's other side, keeping an eye out for any other enemies in the area. At least this way she and Beatrix can keep the entite's attention divided between them. At the first spell it tries to cast, Celes' sword absorbs the energy and she uses it to dispatch a nice, clean Thunder Slash on the entite.]

It's time to eat your own spells, entite.
