[video/action for Winhill]

[This happened once before, what seems like so long ago. Ellone remembers it so clearly, opening the door to her room to find herself looking at the bar in Winhill, that when it happens again, she stops dead still, letting the door slide shut behind her. She's not sure she wants to touch the room, not even to test for dust, so for a few minutes, she stands there. And then she pulls up her Skyphone.]

...I think something's happening again. I remember this happening once before, but I never thought it would happen again. Is anyone else stepping into another place... somewhere from home that isn't here?

[After that, she finally walks over to touch the bar, letting her Skyphone record everything. It feels as solid as it did the last time. Her heart aches. She's not sure she wants to walk back out that door in case the illusion fades away again, but she knows Brooke, Raine, and Slai need her. So, she finally turns to the door, pulls it open, steps outside, and-

Finds herself staring at the Winhill town square. She gasps.]

It's not going away! Are we...

[Did they somehow go home? And that makes the panic set in.]

...Raine?!

Rydia...? So the Sky Phones are working?

Yes. We're not really home, Ellone. If we were, I can't imagine these things would do us any good.

[she sighs.] That's what I thought. It's like the last time.

I'm sorry... I panicked.

It's alright, Ellone. It happens. We never thought this would happen again, after all.

[She switches to video, to show a small village not that different from Dali in atmosphere.]

This is my hometown, Mist. I wonder if that means it'll be arriving here....

It's not just that. If I return home, you know what that means for Raine.

[She switches to video as well, showing the small pub Raine used to run in the background. Holding the camera away from her, she pans it around to show the small town. It's not much different from Dali, either.]

But I saw Winhill last time and it didn't turn up. Though, I guess last time it was just the pub. Maybe you're right.

Some places did make it over, though, didn't they? It's possible....

[Her expression grows sympathetic.]

It's not home, not really. Raine won't lose you.

I guess so... but I don't want to lose her, either.

[She looks up again, out at the town.] It would be nice if Winhill came here. Dali's a sweet town, but it's not home.

That's what I think of Alfitaria. I enjoy it very much, but...it's not home, either.

[Raine just finished feeding Brooke and was leaving to take the baby upstairs for a nap when she crossed over into her pub again. And froze. This happened before and it turned out not to be real. For a split second she genuinely considers staying. Just for a little bit. But she's got Brooke and Slai to think about and that's just not practical at all. So she moves to leave, expecting to find herself back in her Dali house and instead steps out into the streets of Winhill.]

Ellone?

[Ellone turns at the sound of the door opening and her name being called. She breathes a sigh of relief and smiles.]

I wondered if you'd get pulled back here this time, too.

I didn't expect to see the whole village.

[Raine absently kisses the top of Brooke's head, then looks around.]

This isn't real is it?

It was just the pub last time, wasn't it?

[part of her wants to look around again, but part of her wants to go back to Dali since she's pretty sure Raine's right.]

It wasn't last time, was it? I guess... I guess we could look around. Slai... [Her thoughts of course go to the other little one.] She probably can't follow us, can she? Maybe we should find a way back soon before she gets worried.

That's where I started and I ended up right here when I left. [She looks worried.] How far does it reach, I wonder?

[Brooke's sensed her mother's discomfort and mewls unhappily and rubs her tiny face against Raine's shoulder.]

Shhh. It's okay.

[Rubbing baby's back now and looking around.]

Let's try the path out to the fields.

...Brooke... [She tries not to seem as tense as she feels, glancing at the baby before moving towards the fields.]

I didn't think anything like this could happen again. Or that it would be so big... I guess Gaia's always full of surprises...
