[she pauses.] Actually... I wanted to ask you something.

I'm fine! [ She sounds so perky. As usual. ] What's up?

I was talking to Lightning, about how much she knew. About you and me. [Serah pauses again. She doesn't want to go into the details right now; she knows them, pretty much: or, well, at least all the important parts.] And, well, I was thinking... I think the three of us should talk about everything. It doesn't have to be right now, just... some time.

[ There's a pause. A long one. On the other end, Vanille's thinking through everything. There's still so much bottled up inside her, but she knows it's no good to lie anymore. She won't help anyone that way, much as it hurts. So, it's with a much more subdued voice that she answers. ]

Yeah. Soon. Now or tonight... [ Sometime really soon. She knows it's a tale best told sooner rather than later. ]

Yeah. [ There's a nod that Serah can't see. ] She should know.

[ Oh but there's a lot of fear buried in there. Will Lightning react as badly as Sazh had? And then there's that question of time. Vanille... hasn't gotten around to asking how much Lightning remembers. What if she doesn't know much at all? ]

I guess you both should know everything. [ pause. But maybe that's a question to be asked and explained when they meet for this talk. ]

Thank you... Vanille. [her voice is soft. She's grateful, and happy that Vanille has said yes, but still... she doesn't have to do this, but she is.]
