Tifa & Rinoa - Video - filtered from bad guys

[Tifa and Rinoa are sitting in the living room of Tifa's house. Tifa looks both grim and worried, and she's nursing burns on her fingers. Rinoa is on the verge of tears. It's Tifa who speaks first.]

We've received a death threat.

[Rinoa shakes her head.]

No. I received a death threat. It was meant for me.

[Tifa's mouth thins as she holds up a charred piece of cardboard, upon which the following words have been painted: WE'RE GOING TO GET YOU.]

This came in a package straight to my door. When I opened it... it exploded. I don't know what it was, maybe a firecracker. It didn't do much damage, but... My children could have opened that door. My children could have been seriously hurt.

[As Tifa speaks, Rinoa huddles further back into the sofa. She shakes her head again, her voice a whisper.]

I'm in danger, aren't I? I've put you all in danger too. It wasn't just that... It was outside.

Whoever sent the package decided to vandalise the outside of my house too. We cleaned it off, but I don't know how many people saw it... "We know you're here, Sorceress." Somebody's trying to frighten us. It's not going to work on me. Rinoa is my friend and I don't care how many people know it. She's helping my family, and I'm going to help her. So whoever's doing this, stay away from Rinoa, stay away from my family, and stay away from me.

[And that's all Tifa has to say. Rinoa is both grateful and uncertain; she has nothing more to add. They look at each other for a moment before Tifa leans forward to switch the feed off.]

[The Marquis certainly doesn't sound very thrilled to hear about this. It literally feels as if this realm is more likely to fall apart at the seams than ever get the peace it certainly deserves.]

[Tifa is tired and slightly damp - she's just finished scrubbing the paint off her house. She stops when she sees Shelke.]

[Vincent was out of the house at the time it happened- he may be staying in Luca, but it is still his habit to wander. He heard the sound of something exploding, however, and when he saw the video, he hurried back.

When he finally enters the house, he has a hand on his gun, even though he doubts that the person who did it stuck around.]

[Terra listens to all this with wide eyes. She doesn't know what to say at first, incredulous. But that only lasts for a moment, as a frown tugs at her lips. She knows all too well about having power and being persecuted for it.]

If Rinoa wants another place to stay, she could always come with me to Figaro. I can ask Sabin, but I don't see him having a problem with it.
