[Cloud is still in Lindblum. The church to be precise. He's covered in wounds and splattered with blood. He looks thoroughly shellshocked and almost as if he's been crying. He may have been, though he won't tell anyone that.

His gaze falls. He doesn't know how to say this. He opens his mouth to speak and croaks slightly. Swallowing thickly, he shakes his head a little.]

T-Tifa... Tifa's dead. And... and Lightning too. They were killed in the battle with Ultimecia... I... [He takes in a deep, sharp breath to stop himself from breaking.]

Ultimecia has been dealt with... so.... [His face actually holds a lot more emotion than anyone has ever seen on his face. He isn't taking losing his fiancee and his almost-sister very well. Before he breaks on camera, he cuts the feed. Quickly.]

[The spell startles him but he's grateful. As Terra comes closer and hugs him, he stands, pulling her tight against him. it's rare he ever wants any physical contact with anyone, but this is simply not the time to deny such things. He can't help but want to cry but manages not to.]

I-I'm sorry... your friend Celes too... right?

[Terra nods against his shoulder mutely, unable to speak for a moment. She tries to blink away her tears so that she doesn't haven endure blurred vision, which is a marginal success. Her voice wavers slightly when she finally speaks up.]

[Terra takes a deep, shuddering breath. His touch is helping and she sounds slightly calmer when she speaks up, though still drained and heartbroken.]

[He shakes his head a little. There's no point in having his hopes too high, because there's every chance they'll never come back.]

[Terra nods, giving him a slight, grateful squeeze. At least she could always trust Cloud to be truthful, however awkward or painful the truth might be. That was important to her.]

[She moves her head up from his shoulder to look up at him, tears -though drying- evident.]

Cloud...I'm so sorry. This isn't right, none of it....
