[ Lightning is outside, eyes narrowed, the device in her hand at an upside down angle. She's glaring up at the rising sun, as if looking for something.. ] I must have been hearing things—

[ She turns to go back inside, bringing the phone up to shut it off when there's a rather loud screech, and Lightning whirls around, the device in her hand all but forgotten as it drops to the ground. The view, after it's done bouncing, is now pointed directly at the gradually lightening sky, with hundreds of black dots quickly coming into focus. Lightning herself is only seen as a large boot, but you can still hear her movements and voice rather clearly; there's the sound of her drawing her blade, and the crunch of the dirt under her feet as she turns on her heel. ] Snow! Get Serah into the house and hide!!

[ The dots are now rather visible as large silver dragons careening into the city, attacking anything they can get their claws on. Lightning's footsteps are heard gradually running away, only to come back as she scoops up the phone and makes a rather mean face into it. ] This is ridiculous.

Nothing, anymore. [ Lightning turns to Serah, and nods. ] Ready?

[He's rubbing his jaw as he stands up.] Just some quality family bonding.

[Snow makes his way to Serah and places a hand on her shoulder.] Come on, let's go.

[ Lightning takes point, of course, motioning to them both when it's safe to come out of the house. The dragons are still swarming the skies at this point, not really coming down. Yet. ]

[And Snow makes sure that Serah is safely between both him and Light as they make their way out of the inn and towards the designated church-- his glances around, letting out a low whistle as he catches sight of the dragons circling overhead.]

Those do not look nice.

[ Lightning is a mixture of impressed and somewhat horrified. ] How did you--

[ There's no time. The Dragon is coming right for them, and Lightning jumps forward, attacking swiftly. ]

[Snow is definitely impress by the sudden and unexpected display of magic. But before he can make a comment about it, the dragon's heading straight for them, and he immediately moves to step in front of Serah.]

Stay back!

[And instead of waiting for the Dragon to continue it's descent towards them, he immediately charges out as soon as it's close enough, fists striking whatever they can connect to.]

[Snow was in the middle of sending a barrage of punches towards the dragon before him when he hears the roar from behind-- once he finishes his attack, he turns to face the new challenger, though the initial look of determination melts away to horror at the sight of Serah being thrown aside.]

SERAH!

[Abandoning the dragon, he rushes to Serah's crumpled body, pressing a hand to her wound to stop the bleeding before gathering her into his arms.]

Shit, we have to get her to the church!

SERAH! [ Lightning's also completely forgotten about the dragon, and she pushes Snow out of the way to grab her sister, hefting her up and throwing a cure spell on her. ]

What are you standing around for?! [ She's all but screaming at Snow, now. ] Get moving!!

[Snow needs no telling twice-- he's on the move as soon as Lightning snatches Serah out of his arms, barreling forward to clear a path for the pair-- his fists are flying at any approaching dragons because he'll be damned if he'll let another one lay a claw on Serah.]
