Fascinating device really, I acquired it some time ago, but I just haven't had the time to make use of it. And then you see, it occurred tome that I could quite easily use it to benefit my research!

Ah, goodness, my manners. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Doctor Tot, a scholar of this world, and currently residing in the city of Treno. Recently, there have been quite a few interesting, and dare I say alien artifacts appearing at the Treno auction house! With all that has been going on since the appearance of that Light, and with all of these People from the Sky, it occurs to me that perhaps these items are arriving from the Sky as well!

Ah, but that's not really what I'm here to ask about. Although, if anyone is visiting Treno, and you've any sort of Information on the items up for auction, please do let me know!

No, no, the important thing here, is that I am interested in learning more about the inhabitants who have arrived in our world, and what sort of abilities they possess! Magic is not uncommon in Gaia, and I wonder how many of our new, perhaps temporary citizens possess special abilities as well! I'm not a mage of any kind myself, but certain there is something that all of us can learn from one another!

I am Mjrn. Magick is not unknown to my homeland, nor the greater region of Ivalice. I know a little of each type, though I do not lay claim to any great power. The differences in magick cross-world would be interesting to compare.

Oh, the Mist. Dreadful thing, the Mist. It had vanished from the world some years ago, but it's recently begun to spread again. It's not dangerous itself, although the monsters that wander the lands are born from it, and walking through the mist can be more dangerous because of their larger concentrations. You may ask me anything you like my dear, and I shall do my best to answer!

I wished to know more about this Mist, as it seems quite different from that of my world. The Mist I know cannot be seen unless there is a great quantity, and it aids the workings of magick. Yet, I have sensed nothing of that sort here, only that it spawns the monsters you mention. You said it vanished...do you know why? And why it has returned?

Oh, yes, certainly white magic is a part of it. There are of course many types of magic, but I am intrigued that your world seems to call it the same as ours! Perhaps we all have much more in common than we seem. We do all seem to speak the same language, after all.

It's very easy to find! I'm afraid I've never been very good with directions, but there are some places that sells maps of the city, yes. If you stop into one of the shops, I'm certain someone there could point you in the right direction as well!

Very strange looking objects! Some of them unnamed, even! I've only seen a few myself, many are going for high prices when the auctioneer sells it on the air of mystery and one-of-a-kind nature!

Para-Magic? GF-- Oh, I heard one other young lady mention something about these 'guardian forces' as well. Perhaps you're both from the same world? That is truly intriguing. I must say that I'm not sure exactly what you mean by 'para-magic', however.

May I enquire as to the nature of these... artifacts you have encountered? Treno is not a place I have yet visited, and this is the first I have heard of objects appearing from our lands.

As for your question, my own country makes frequent use of magicks. In Dalmasca, and other nations in Ivalice, magicks may be purchased, yet only utilised if the owner possesses the relevant licence.

I'm afraid I can't say much, as I'm not sure what they ARE. Relics of some kind, I'm certain, but I wouldn't know what to call any of them.
