[ A pleasant sort of static greets the ears of the viewer, effectively muffling the words of the those speaking for a minute, give or take ten to twenty seconds. Anyone familiar with the mountain region and its surrounding territory at the northern end of the Lost Continent might recognize the rocky structure of the snow-laden cliffs that cradle Narshe immediately in the background. Anyone at all familiar with the world would certainly recognize little more than two digits of a moogle's paw obscuring what presently serves as the top of the visible image. The static quickly subsides and a voice, clearly feminine and hot with indignation, forces aside any promise of cryptic silence. ]
-- mean to deceive me?
[ A small wave of loud, and therefore presumably closer, voices urge many a "n-no," "nono," and "kupo" forward. The image sways left and right, left and right, as though one were observing the world through the eyes of some drunk subject to motion sickness. Then -- ]
Enough!
[ "K-k-k-kupo!" ]
I have no time for children's games!
[ Snow crunches briefly beneath leather boots and waffle-guarded paws. A small stretch of silence follows, then more snow-crunching, followed by a slightly longer stretch of silence.
"Wh-what are you looking for, kupo?" ]
The blackg'rd that summoned you.
[ Anger tinges those words, but it is a cold sort of anger, one motivated not only by confusion and gradually mounting frustration, but by duty and a strong sense of purpose now inexplicably hindered. (It does not help that who or whatever has brought about these circumstances clearly means to mock her. Moogles are but creatures of myth and legend in Ivalice, the sole exception being the summon, and summons do not wander from their summoner; they do not amass and steal lady knights from their company. Even if they could, this lady knight would surely have noticed and not awakened in an unfamiliar region covered from head to toe in snow whilst surrounded by mythical creatures waving peculiar devices and --)
"You really should use this!"
If her tone is any indication, the moogle holding the skyphone is beaming and in good spirits despite the woman's malcontent. No sooner than she finishes her cheerful little exclamation does the image explode into a violent whorl of color. The device is thrust into the gloved hand of what can now be identified as a human female -- blond, her hair styled in the fashion of an age typically recalled in fairy tales and the like, with narrowing amber eyes and a face not at all unpleasant look at. White and blue are the predominantly visible colors about her apparel, which is scarcely seen from that angle save for a gleaming pauldron upon her shoulder.
The skyphone's digits are still being pressed, albeit fewer than they were at first following the exchange. Few enough that the woman's words are intelligible and much more easily heard. If she sounded unhappy before, she sounds very unhappy now, and that's putting it nicely. ]

[ "It's on, kupo!"
"Uh oh!"
"Here, let me!"
The dissonant sound of rapidly crunched snow, many voices spouting words that run into each other, and several grunts is drowned out by a loud Beep beepbeep, b-buh-BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP and the feed cuts out. ]

Date: 2010-03-02 12:55 am (UTC)[ From the slight pat-pat that sounds here and there, it may be gathered that the device is being turned up, down, over, and all around by her gloved hands. Fortunately for Ashe's ears, Agrias manages not to press any of the buttons; though, the thought does cross her mind. She would rather this particular machine not explode in her face. (For all she knows, it may very well do that at any given moment!) ]
Would that Mustadio Bunansa were here. He would make sense of this... device, I'm sure.
[ And all too easily for that matter seeing as he is the Machinist.
The pat-pat-ing stops, the device presumably returned to an upright position. A light sigh accompanies her humble addition: ]
A knight's tools are far simpler.

Date: 2010-03-02 05:17 pm (UTC)[Wait. Did Ashe hear right amongst those shuffling sounds? Did this woman just say...]
Bunansa?
I am aware of two individuals belonging to that family name; both are here, yet neither are known as... Mustadio. By chance, do you hail from Archadia?
Date: 2010-03-02 09:39 pm (UTC)[ Agrias is slow in her initial disclosure as she is considering not only the words of those with whom she spoke prior through this machine, but especially her conversation with Marquis Ondore and what doors appear to be opening as a result. Mention of others who hail from Ivalice has been made and Bunansa now makes four familiar namesakes, at least three of which may not be coincidence for that matter. She will not blindly accept the fourth as a product of coincidence. If it is so, it will be proven, and so she continues. ]
I, too, know two individuals belonging to that family name. They are father and son and call the Clockwork City of Goug home.
[ It is perhaps more information than she should give, but as this is Gaia and not Ivalice, no harm should come to Mustadio and Besrudio as they are not present. No harm should come to them regardless since they have been relieved of the Zodiac Stone they possessed. Still that familiar namesake plays upon her mind and prompts her to put forth questions of her own. ]
Hail you from Ivalice?
[ The kingdom of Ivalice or Ivalice the... apparent region by the marquis' words? She thinks it a good idea to clarify, so clarify she does in as subtle a manner as she can manage. ]
Know you Marquis Halim Ondore IV of the Skycity of Bhujerhba? Pardon, but I would be remiss if I did not ask. Too many these familiar namesakes I've encountered this day to be mere coincidence.
Date: 2010-03-03 06:39 pm (UTC)I... do, Ivalice is indeed my home, and Halim is my uncle. Is his name also known to you, as were the Bunansas?
[How strange, and Ashe wears a slight frown across her bow in curiosity.]
What manner of name may I call you by?
I am Ashelia Dalmasca Nabradia.
[Brief Action → Video]
Date: 2010-03-08 02:31 pm (UTC)Standing somewhat awkwardly, she pushed her thoughts on the matter aside and began recording her reply. At the very least, she could maintain what other formalities as they were required of one of her station. She bows her head low and proper once the recording begins. Royalty is royalty and a knight a knight regardless of the land from whence they hail. ]
I am Agrias Oaks, a knight of the Lionsguard, whose duty it is to guard the Crown of the kingdom from whence I hail. From what I have gathered since my arrival in this land, the kingdom from whence I hail and some individuals who reside within her borders share similar namesakes with people and places of your Ivalice. I say 'your Ivalice' because my kingdom, too, is named Ivalice. Her late Majesty King Ondoria Atkascha III would appear to share a similar with Marquis Ondore as well.
[ Strange indeed. These peculiarities have not set well with Agrias since she uncovered them, but that does not excuse her from applying proper manners. ]
My apologies if my words have been too forward.
It is an honor to make your acquaintance, Majesty.
Date: 2010-03-09 05:55 pm (UTC)An honour I return, Agrias. Within a world removed from my own, my title holds limited sway, yet mine it remains nonetheless. I am not familiar with your king, but the similarity you suggest is certainly beyond question.
... There is another here who refers to Ivalice as two separate locations and himself as a knight. Are you, by chance, familiar with Delita Heiral?
Date: 2010-03-14 12:55 am (UTC)[ Agrias inclines her head toward the device, more specifically to Queen Ashelia. ]
Ser Delita Heiral is the commander of the Blackram Knights of the Order of the Southern Sky.
[ She does not mention that he, like herself, is charged with the protection of Princess Ovelia Atkascha. Princess Ovelia's lack of protection is their business, hers and that of Ser Delita, whose prior words regarding in whose charge the princess had been prior to his arrival in Gaia have indeed made her wary concerning him. This wariness she kept in check whilst replying to Queen Ashelia in the affirmative. (Still, she can't help but wonder... just how long as Ser Delita been here?) ]
