[ During his exploration of Lindblum, Balthier had found himself drawn primarily to the industrial district, pausing to speak to what amounted to a handful of engineers as he wove his way through the streets and attempted to get his bearings. He had quizzed a number of them about their use of steam as a power source and the recent advances in their technology since the arrival of what they had referred to as the Sky People, filing away what he had learned into a series of mental notes to be reviewed later on. There would be time to return to Lindblum and pick the respective brains of its resident tinkerers at a later date; at the moment, he had a partner to reunite with, a captain to claim from the biting winds of Narshe, and a promised visit to make.
