[When the video feed turns on, it's staticy and grainy. Someone's running, so the sudden movements add to the bad reception. When the person starts, there's a gasp. The the scene is gruesome. There is blood all over the snow, bodies everywhere. There are so many people, indiscriminate of age and gender. Men, women... the scene is bad. There are cries of agony everywhere, loved ones rushing to find their fallen friends and family members. Guards are running through the streets, trying to find who did this.

And then, they spot someone. The video feed moves, as the holder is trying to get a better look at the person, and it catches something odd.

A Pulse l'Cie brand on the man's arm.

The running stops, and the holder catches their breath, murmuring a few words.] How did another...?

[The phone turns back around, facing those trying to go through the bodies.]

"How did this happen?"
"Did they catch who did it?"
"It was one of those l'Cie people! He needs to be stopped before he kills anyone else!"


[The owner turns the feel onto themselves.]

Such a heinous act from one of the group who claims they want to help defend this world! If they are hiding more of their own, then who knows what else will be done? It was one thing when it was only the destruction of buildings, but now people as well?

When will the madness end?

[Laguna looks quite a bit worse for wear, a cut on his head though recently bandaged along with a few other bruises on his face. His hair is in disarray, having been pulled from the hair tie it is usually in, and looks very very pissed off. There are Moogles behind him, they were the ones to have given him an extra Sky Phone for now since Rinoa had taken his. A very angry president stands before you.]

She has my family. The Moogles have updated me on the situation and now I can safely say that Ultimecia has taken Rinoa and put under some kind of control. She has my family, all of them. Rinoa also has control of SeeD and even Seifer, Ultimecia's Knight.

Find the Garden and you'll find Rinoa and, hopefully, Ultimecia.

[He gives an abrupt sigh before looking into the camera again.]

And whatever you do. Don't kill Rinoa. She's a pawn in this and probably Seifer as well. Ultimecia can't be taken lightly. She's a much more powerful sorceress.

If someone could also come pick me up, I would be extremely grateful. I'm at the Midgar Ruins, the moogles got me out of some building that I was trapped in. Any and all questions should go to me as well, fighting sorceresses is something I've done before.

[Garnet is not in the mood to mess around with anything. After seeing Laguna's 'distress call' on the network, and watching the video feed provided by Rinoa, she knows there's no time to waste. The attack is already starting, and if she doesn't do something, Alexandria will feel the hit.

Marching through the hallway, clutching her phone in one hand, her brows narrowed. She lifts the phone, and switches it on.]

Beatrix. I want you to dispatch your squadrons to the borders of the city. It is of the utmost importance that we do all in our power to keep the assault from entering Alexandria. I want you to dispatch a squadron to Treno as well, to lead blockade efforts there.

Steiner, I want the Knights of Pluto assigned to the inner city, along with soldiers of Beatrix's choosing. You are to protect the people, and see to their safety.

All efforts must be taken to keep Garden from approaching Alexandrian soil. Among their numbers is a Sky Woman with dark hair, who goes by the name of Rinoa. [Her resolve falters slightly.] She must be stopped but do not, I repeat, do not kill her. Disable her at all costs, but be very careful -- It is my understanding she has the ability of a fearsome black mage. Worse than her, is the Sorceress known as Ultimecia -- She is very dangerous, and to be taken down. But the protection of the people comes first.

To all our friends and allies... We'll provide any aid we can, but the majority of our efforts must go to protecting this city.

[Despite the hecticness of the situations going on, Cid's expression is one of calmness and professionalism. After all, as a Brigadier General and Commander, he is used to keeping a cool head in the worst of times.]

Many of you have likely heard of the recent incident in Narshe, where destruction has taken place. The suspect is a man who, in the video recording, appears to have a l'Cie brand. However, assumptions must not be quickly jumped to.

To clarify to those who are not from Cocoon, l'Cie are humans--just like you and I--who have been cursed with a brand from a greater being known as a fal'Cie. It is almost always against their will. When branded, l'Cie are given what is known as a Focus, a task that the fal'Cie wants them to do.

Yes. There are l'Cie among us, and many of you know them and are even friends with them. However, despite that the suspect for Narshe's incident is seen with a brand, you must not fall victim to scare tactics. Even if the man is a l'Cie--which I am doubting, considering that there are no fal'Cie here--this is an isolated incident that has nothing to do with Lightning and her friends.

Lt. Colonel Nabaat may attempt to spread lies in an attempt to frighten the populace, but they are nothing but that. Lies. Her work back home was no different from this. As a higher ranking member of the very military she is part of, I was and am privy to much more of the truth than whatever she has been fed and stubbornly clings onto. Even if the man is a l'Cie, he has nothing to do with the others. Their Focus has nothing to do with Gaia, and as such, they have no reason at all to harm anyone here.

I implore you all to remain calm and focus on the things that are the true danger to us all, namely, the being known as Ultimecia. Right now, our main priority is to stop her, not fear those who we need not fear.

I just heard word. The place that got blown up... It's Costa Faguita.

They need help, guys. There are some survivors, but most are seriously injured and they're gonna die if they don't get help soon.

I haven't seen anything like this since Kuja and the eidolons. The amount of power that woman has is crazy. I'm gonna get over there as fast as I can... We moogles will try to help the wounded. We'll leave the crazy lady to you.
