[The screen flashes to life. Ruby punches it one more time for good measure before noticing this.

She's running. Very very fast. It's amazing how she's managing it in those heels but she is. And it soon becomes clear what she's running from. There's a large, doglike two-jawed beast some way behind her. It's getting more distant so her running very fast strategy seems to be working.

She ducks behind a doorway and presses against the inside of it, hiding in the shade. She rearranges her skirts, drawing a dagger from somewhere in her layers of petticoats as she gets her breath back.]

The moogle back there said I could use this thing to talk to folks. So I'm talkin'! Where's Alexandria got to, why'm I in this place and will someone please get me outta here? Someone come an' help!

[On the screen, Zephyr bites into a downed Zuu that's struggling to move. The scene then moves to Kain, who looks like he's been fighting.]

Well. I will admit that she had a little help for that one.

[A lot of help since the dragon's hunting skills are on a more basic level for now, but Kain still likes treating her sometimes.]

I wonder what progress is being made in Terra. The Shrines were a formidable enough task. Perhaps the group won't even... [His voice trails off. Then he mutters something inaudible and turns off the device.]

[After he's shut off the video and unseen by anyone else... Kain has noticed a strange red object that Zephyr's somehow gotten ahold of. He goes to her and has to spend a good while wrestling it away. Fortunately her attention returns to the carcass as Kain holds up the red crystalline stone he's found. Some instinct in him screams that this discovery isn't something he should keep to himself, but the side that doesn't want to listen is stronger and louder. Especially right now. Struggling with the thought of leaving has been hard on him. He stares at the stone for a while before very deliberately concealing it on himself.]
