[The video starts off somewhat shakily while Edge battles with the mysterious technology. At first, the only image visible is the interior of a tavern, with the din of strangers' conversations providing a white noise in the background. Before long, though, Edge's masked face comes into view, giving a little wink as he begins to schmooze.]

Ladies!

I don't know you, and you don't know me. This is a TRAVESTY that needs to be fixed right now. So here's what you'll need to be caught up to speed with me: My name is Edge, and I am made of Amazing.

I'm visiting your lovely city of Alexandria at the moment, and unfortunately have found myself left all by my lonesome. I've seen a couple of you girls sending out messages through this thing, and might I say a lot of you are mighty fine! How many of you are local? I'd love it if I could have someone to show me around.

I hope this message finds you well, that you are closer to locating the child, Eiko, or at least have some news of her by now.

For the most part, the days pass without worry or ill, here. In fact I have some news of my own, which is why I write to you now; in the hope my words may lift your spirits, my prince.

The sensation was brief and faint, yet also new; leaving me certain.

Last night, I felt our baby move for the first time.

[The video feed clicks on to reveal Rydia seated cross-legged on a bed--evidently at an inn, of some sort. Night noises filter in through the open window. She stretches, seeming a little drowsy but as bright and friendly as ever.]

Well, the first leg of this journey is over. So far, it's been pretty interesting! We reached the Outer Continent, only to stumble across a settlement that wasn't on the map given us--the Fields of Fum. There's plenty of other Sky People, but some aren't--and they aren't native to Gaia, either. Has that happened on the Mist Continent? I thought most areas pulled in from elsewhere were empty.

Anyway, our goal isn't that far away now. We should be traveling through Conde Petie next. Someone said it was a city of dwarves? I wonder if they're anything like those at home....

I hope everyone else is doing well.

[The video feed cuts in later, showing Rydia clad only in her leotard, sprawled out on the bed and sound asleep. She must have jostled it while tossing and turning.]

Burmecia is interesting, but I shall be glad to return to Alexandria soon. Constant rain has run its course as a novelty, and it pains me to see the city in such a state. At least they are rebuilding as best they can, though I cannot help but wonder if what happened to Cleyra will occur elsewhere.....
