[Vincent is not in the best state. His hair is wild and messy, not held back as it usually is by his headband. He's covered with small cuts, and there is dried blood at the corner of his mouth. He is cradling his head in his hands.]

I'm sure you all have your suspicions, after that announcement. [He sighs, and rubs his forehead as if trying to get rid of a headache.] I... lost control of Chaos. He is sated for now, but... eventually, it may happen again. Or one of the other demons might emerge. There is no doubt that if anyone sees my next transformation, they will make the connection that I am this demon of theirs, and will come after me.

I can barely keep the demons in check, any more. Chaos least of all. [He swallows hard, then turns his gaze unflinchingly to the camera.] If I transform again, you all cannot hesitate to attack. Kill me. I will not stand for having Chaos running amok on this planet hurting innocents, and if he takes over, I may never gain control again.

[A pause before he delivers his last piece of news.] I'm going to Wutai to meet with Sephiroth. Once that is finished, I may come back to Lindblum.

[Vincent is rubbing at his forehead again. If he keeps not realizing that he's doing it, the gesture will probably become a habit when he is irritated. He won't make a snappy comment that uses Reno, but he's tempted.] Self-discipline is the only thing that has allowed me to keep him contained so far.

[He knew Vincent could control his demons if he wanted to. If he tried a little harder. Cid sure as hell didn't want a friend dead, and if that meant a few threats here and there... he was ok with that.]

[It's obvious that no one is taking him seriously on this, so he's going to stop trying to get them to. He's just going to threaten right back. It's AVALANCHE-style bonding.]

[Cid isn't being anything less than serious. He felt he had the strongest bond with Vincent more than anyone else from the group. He wasn't going to let Vincent die.]Hell yeah ya better! If keepin' ya around means keepin them goddamn demons alive, I'll gladly punch 'im inta next month if it keeps ya around!

I mean, goddamn it, Vince. You got friends here. We ain't gonna let ya slip so far ya can't control yerself we're gonna help ya the best we can ta keep ya sane and around. And If that just so fuckin' happens to be me punching ya ta come to yer senses, I'll be more than happy ta do that!

[Cid really is his friend, there is no doubt about that. He is close to Cloud and Nanaki, because they understand him very well, as he understands them. They know about his past simply because they have gone through similar things. With them, he doesn't need to put up appearances or hide the truth. Cid, on the other hand, is his polar opposite, and that dynamic works well between them. Cid forces him to move beyond his past and live again, no matter what Vincent has to say about it.]

[His answer is surprisingly calm, and sincere.] I've been alone for so long, I forget that I have others to lean on.

[His tone gets calmer, and there's a little grunt of an approving noise.]

Damn right ya got others. And don't you ferget it.

[He muttered something about a welcome and being a captain, not a chief.]

I seem to have had that proven to me. [Every single person has responded to his declaration by saying, "we won't, there has to be another way to stop this." If nothing else, he has realized how much he means to them, and even if he still doesn't hold himself in high regard, he doesn't want to hurt his friends.]

Mm-hmm, I wonder why. [There's a quick nod -not that it could be seen-, unknowingly agreeing with Vincent's thoughts. Vincent was apart of their family and no matter how dysfunctional they were, they'd always have each others backs.]

Because all of AVALANCHE is unfailingly nosy and stubborn. You all woke me from a coffin the first time. I suppose I should have realized it then. [Dysfunctional families are the best kind of family that there is. And the family that you choose is always the strongest possible bond.]
