[He sighs lightly.] I'll only be a few days. I'll make it up to you when I'm back.

[There's a bit of a pause.]

I'm sorry. I have to help him.

[There's a small thudding noise, a crackle and then he cuts off.]

I'll be okay; I already told my boss I'll do double overtime to make up for not being around. [Not that his boss was all too impressed with him, but he understood. Oeilvert is a nasty place.]
