[It's a while before she can actually respond. The battle is fairly intense and the communicator gets shoved around, with a couple of hecteyes on top of it, before they all melt away. Jote finally picks her Sky Phone back up and checks to see if Mjrn is still there.]

I know not what kind they are, simply that they exist here. Their power is great.

[She's come to think of the Shumi as a replacement for her Village at home... which means she will protect them at all costs.]

They nearly overwhelmed us in Figaro. It is such that we cannot dare step outside for more than a few moments, lest we drown in their swarm. We try to deplete their numbers, but there seems to be no end....

I had yearned for brighter news. If all locations are under siege, there is no hope of aid from elsewhere.

I am safe, for the time being. Reks is with me. I have heard from Penelo; she is in Lindblum, attempting to heal those wounded. I assume Larsa must be well, for she would have stated otherwise. Jote is fighting...the others, I know not.

I am at the inn at South Figaro. We have sealed away the building as best as we are able, but I do not know if our preparations will hold. Their numbers are far too great. The situation in Lindblum is the same?

I've never seen such an infestation... Normally, the monsters are only found in the mist. The villages and cities are safe because they are away from the mist--

Is there a higher concentration of mist in your area? I can't see any from where I am.

There is mist, but I do not believe it is thicker than what is near Alexandria. Nor has more preceded or arrived with this influx of beasts. I shall watch intently for any changes, however.

Perhaps this is not related to the mist....
