It appears this device still functions. I keep forgetting I even have it.

[Evident by him failing to communicate recently.]

Anyway... I'll be in Troia soon enough. Don't be alarmed when we arrive.

[It's been a busy few weeks for Kain, but now he's swiftly approaching Troia, riding along on Zephyr's back. The young dragon has grown yet more... but at least this time when they come in for a landing, the castle guards have had warning and they know who this is.]

[ Rosa's seen the video post from Kain and as soon as she can be, she's outside, heading for the town gates. Her eyes widen as she spots Zephyr landing. Kain was right: the dragon's grown so much since Rosa has last seen her.

Cautiously approaching, Rosa moves closer with a smile on her face. ]

[It's exactly the person Kain always most wants to see. Any sort of attention from Rosa makes any day that much better.]

[Kain leaps from Zephyr's back, as she comes in for a landing.]

[ Her smile warms even more as Kain hops off Zephyr's back. This is the first time she's actually seen him in person since she arrived again. He looks the same as the last time she'd been here, with a little obvious aging, different from the Kain she knew. She's glad for that. Maybe this Kain can work through that without his dark side messing things up terribly for him.

If he'll let her, she wants a hug. ]

[ Though she has to admit to herself that it's a little strange not to see him in his new outfit. ]

[Rydia, having heard his message, decides to linger in Troia long enough to see him. It's been a while since they met in person...and despite their history of mutual annoyance at times, she still worries about him anyway. Might as well see how he's doing.

When he approaches, Rydia pauses and stares as she takes in the extent of Zephyr's growth. She grins as she strides over, waving.]

[At least Kain has had that time away, so he's built up a tolerance for people. Even Rydia. It's not as if she's so bad, when she's not in lecture mode.]

[Zephyr grunts in greeting as she settles on the roof. Kain nods at Rydia.]

I assume I've not missed any invasions these past weeks?

[If Zephyr allows it, Rydia will give her a friendly pat. Her expression darkens briefly at the question.]

Not here or anywhere on this continent, at any rate. I heard about Figaro, though.

[No, you don't want to answer that. Kain keeps the view on the sky as they near Troia. Zephyr slows down so that the view can be appreciated even more.]

There's nothing like seeing the world from a dragon's back. Not even airships can compare.

[Oh, right, it probably would have been hard to miss the sight of a dragon flying in to help, no matter how distant they kept from everyone.]

[After having been evacuated from Figaro following the battle, Reis has mostly been sleeping to recover her strength. Now situated in the infirmary within the castle, she's just as listless and fatigued as she had been before. She'd spent herself trying to heal others in the fighting and trying to boost Zephyr's natural abilities, but this is more than just battle exhaustion. Weeks of grieving have cost her health greatly and will take time to recover.

She's sitting calmly where she's been placed, hands folded and staring off into the distance.]

[Kain knows how it is to spend weeks in deep despair- he's only really getting over the worst of his after all, and he still hasn't been entirely 'ok' since the Festival of the Hunt. He probably never will and it's mostly because of Mjrn. So he understands entirely. Which is why he's actually given her a lot of space at times, since that's what he wants/needs at those times himself.]

[Still, he owes it to thank her for her assistance in that conflict, particularly for helping Zephyr. He heads in to see her now for that reason alone. When he sees her, he does make a mental note to send in Rosa for more healing.]

[Frimelda's still in Troia, and she looks up as she sees the dragon overhead, staring as it overcircles the city for a few moments.]

[Kain admittedly is enjoying the flight, and loves being able to soar through the air on board Zephyr. He takes her in for some sweeping, fast motions, before finally swooping downward to land...]

[With the message in advance, Cecil and the rest of the castle are far better prepared for the dragon and her rider arriving. So this time, he's already waiting on the roof, patiently watching the sky for any sign of them.

After a while Cecil spots Zephyr's silhouette rapidly getting closer, and the sight brings a small smile to his face. It means a lot to him that Kain takes the time to visit every once in a while, even if he won't ever stay. He steps forwards and waits for her to land.]

[They glide through the air, Zephyr's motions as effortless and graceful as always. Once they land, Kain leaps off of her, giving her some reassuring pats and talking quietly to her as she in turn nuzzles at him. Then he turns to see Cecil, giving him a nod in greeting.]

I thought it only right to give advance warning this time.
