It's not uncommon for people of the same world to land here from different eras. As far as I know, I'm one of the few furthest back in the timeline of our Gaia, while Sephiroth and Zack are from a similar time but a little more ahead. Rufus is still further and Tseng and Reno are the ones that are of a more modern time, to put it best.
