It will need to last until Sephiroth is away from insanity's door. We are hiding in a place no one would think to look.
Unfortunately, I don't know all the details. Only from what I saw and gathered. Sephiroth only told me so much. What transpired was that Cloud was dying and was angry and upset. He spoke to Sephiroth, no doubt blamed him for everything or some such nonsense and finally, Sephiroth acted on an impulse he had been striving to tame. If and when Cloud is brought back, no one will truly know unless Sephiroth himself makes some kind of an announcement.
