((ooc: Okay, since this plot thread has been dangling far too long now, here's where we're going to wrap it up. Open, party-style action for Edgar, Sabin, Rasler, Ashe, Locke, Terra, and Kefka. Also Celes if she was in the castle when the flurry of communication was going on. Party-style because if we try to do this round-robin it will literally take forever and a day. At the end of this, Kefka might be escaping or might be dead, but for the sake of the game for now we're going to assume he escapes unless something drastic happens in the log. This all took place before the ball, so this is backdated, and is why Edgar was not there - he was settling Figaro after the Kefka-impostor and wouldn't leave just to go to a party.))

[Edgar's arrived in the basement of the castle at last, having gained access through the sandworm tunnels that were left there after the world changeover. He makes a mental note to get those things fixed quick, now, then looks around for the ones supposed to be meeting him. He's dusty, a little dirty, but still pulled together and looking in charge of the situation, or at least as in charge as one invading his own castle would be.
