I, Marquis Halim Ondore wishes to address you all regarding the events that have transpired in Wutai as of late. While I do humbly regret being forced to make such a hasty message, it would seem that something quite disturbing has taken place within the territory previously claimed by General Sephiroth. I am unsure of what has taken place there but Sephiroth’s second-in-command, Genesis Rhapsodos, has fallen ill to both madness and malady. Whether or not the nethicite is the cause for this current series of unfortunate events, one thing is certain---our bid for the stones is jeopardy.
Setting fires to the laboratory of which I assume belongs to the late Dr. Cidolfus Demen Bunansa, Genesis, in his rage, set fire and destroyed everything there. I know naught of what can be salvaged in this wreckage but if it is the stones powers we seek, now would be the time for those who seek them to search. However, be warned that it was the nethicite that lured this man to such depravities or so he has claimed in his dying words. Genesis was a loyal ally to the General who valiantly fought beside Vayne Solidor, the nobleman who was recently assassinated. To all those who’ve sided with the elder Solidor in the past, it would go unwise for you all to allow your allegiance to him to ebb away so quickly. The General is obvious in need of our aid and all of Wutai is in need of our decisions now in how we shall manage this state. I would like to hear from representatives hailing for Gaia first regarding this matter but all is welcomed.
As for Genesis…
It seems he is one of many who’ve may become affected by the nethicite’s lust for power.
Again, forgive me for this hastily made address but time to decide whether we confide in the usage of nethicite against our foes is upon us!
What shall the decision be? I will not reiterate my previous sentiments regarding the stones nor shall I vote upon this matter. The choice is for all of you to decide.
