Is this on-- [ Screeching feedback. ]
--oh, dear. Excuse me. But hello, citizens of Lindblum as well as our friends in neighboring cities and kingdoms. I have an announcement to make! One I'm quite enthralled for, if I do say so myself.
In light of recent events, in the spirit of camaraderie, friendship, and unity in these uncertain times, the Festival of the Hunt will be coming to us early this year. Quite early, in fact. It's traditionally a fall festival, but it seems now is as good of time as any to come together and celebrate all that we have, as well as get to know one another better.
We will be attempting to organize a variety of events this year outside the traditional hunt to better reflect the diversity in our peoples. Since Lindblum is a little understaffed and overwhelmed by the various projects we have undertaken, we'd greatly appreciate volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer to be on the festival committee, please respond to me through the network and we'll work something out.
That aside, the hunt is as always a test of manhood, of each fighter's spirit, constitution, and mettle. We encourage you all to step forward and show us what you're made of.
Monsters will be released throughout the city while the citizens will be shown to safe spectator stands. Each monster will be worth a certain number of points, and all hunters will be given until the timer runs out to rack up as many points as possible. Fainting will not disqualify you, but it will lock in your points until the timer runs out.
The hunter with the most points at the end of the festival will be crowned Master Hunter and receive the hunter's reward.
A sign-up entry will go up shortly on the network for those interested. Please refer to that for details.
Unlike in previous years, the festival will last for four days. That means January 28th through the 31st will be dedicated entirely to the festival, and the hunt itself will take place on the last day.
Let's all pull together and make this festival one to remember! I leave my kingdom at your disposal!
