[Phone Call to Porom]

[After that phone call, Ursula departs the infirmary. She's tired of resting in bed, waiting to recover the rest of her strength. Stubborn as ever, the princess slips out of the castle and heads into town. She'll begin doing some stretches and then some practice moves, determined not to neglect her training.

White mage folks and others are still welcome to nag, of course.]

No, I'm still in Troia. It seems Narshe's old governor has returned. I'm glad someone was able to help the town while I was away.

[It makes not sense to feel guilty for something she can't help...and yet, part of her does, anyway.]

Still, we're all glad to see you back-

[She pauses there, realizing how ridiculous it is to be glad that someone's been torn away from their home. She's been in Gaia too long already, if she's happy about that kind of thing.]

[It's okay, Ursula knows what she means.]

Porom...I still don't remember everything about Gaia and what happened here, but I recall what we did. It happened for me, too.

It was the same for me when I first arrived. My recollection of Gaia was- still very hazy for a few days afterwards. I remembered people first, before anything else, and places last.

You fought it too, then. ...I'm- certainly glad it's out of the way. It was exhausting.

It was...and at least we know now that our world will be safe. It bothered me to know or experience that for myself.

Yes. To know that the world is not in danger in our absence is- very comforting.

What did I miss here? The last thing I remember was that mission aboard the Lunatic Pandora....

[She tried to get answers from the moogles and nurses, but everyone was evasive and told her to rest. Of course, that only drives her need to know.]

...the mission was a failure. The Lunar Cry was induced.

Burmecia is- no longer. The mist continent is sufferign from the aftermath of a plague of monsters. I'm sorry.

[A long stretch of silence.]

I guessed there was something wrong when no one would tell me. Those poor people....

[Sigh.]

And how is Mysidia faring? Do you need more help over there?

Mysidia's- well enough. We had to open the road to evacuate civilians but our altitude's protected us from the bulk of them.

[And, because this is Ursula, she continues after a pause while she looks round to make sure nobody can overhear.]

The warrior's here right now. I don't think there's anywhere I'd feel safer.

[Ursula's glad Porom can't see her smile at that.]

Good. I'm glad knowing he's there to help. Still, if there's need of us, say so and we'll be on our way through the road.

[She's missed girl talk. She's missed it SO MUCH.]

Thank you. I'll be sure to let you know if anything happens. Was Fabul doing well, when you returned from the moon? I didn't stay on the Blue Planet long enough to learn much of the state all that chaos had left it in.

Yes, it was. Father and I had departed to go training, but Fabul was in good hands. Mother wouldn't let anything happen to it.
