[Phone Call to Porom]

[After that phone call, Ursula departs the infirmary. She's tired of resting in bed, waiting to recover the rest of her strength. Stubborn as ever, the princess slips out of the castle and heads into town. She'll begin doing some stretches and then some practice moves, determined not to neglect her training.

White mage folks and others are still welcome to nag, of course.]

Hello?
dualcast: (Plain as day)

Ursula! You're well, then?

Oh, thank goodness. Are you in Narshe? Is to too cold? Are you wrapped up?

Well, I doubt you chose to come back here so unprepared any more than I chose to return to a place without magic. I'm glad you're on the mend.

[Nag? Ceodore? Not likely. Although he is confused when he realizes that Ursula's not where he thought she'd be. It doesn't take him long to chat up a few people in town and find out where she's made herself scarce to.

Training? After what she'd been through?]

Hey.

Just me.

[He looks over his shoulder, then back, and grins. He knows all too well what that was about. His mother's a fretful worrywort and everyone knows it.]

You okay?

I was impressed. You were incredible. N-not that you aren't normally, but uh...

[He's still not sure what if anything she remembers. For his part, it bothers him that being home meant forgetting Gaia and privately nursing a crush, only to go home to Baron and get on with life.]

Glad you're back.

Sure.

[Ceodore holds out an arm for the taking. No reason to forget his manners.]

[He nods crisply and takes the scenic route out of town, just past the lake.]

If you get tired, I'll take you back.

Yeah. You vanished right in front of us and that woman got away. I was going to help with the monsters that fell, but then... I was back on the moon.

...didn't remember a thing about this place either.

Still, we're all glad to see you back-

[She pauses there, realizing how ridiculous it is to be glad that someone's been torn away from their home. She's been in Gaia too long already, if she's happy about that kind of thing.]

It was the same for me when I first arrived. My recollection of Gaia was- still very hazy for a few days afterwards. I remembered people first, before anything else, and places last.

You fought it too, then. ...I'm- certainly glad it's out of the way. It was exhausting.
dualcast: (And I believe in all that lives)

[personal profile] dualcast 2011-05-19 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. To know that the world is not in danger in our absence is- very comforting.
dualcast: (Are you regretting the journey?)

...the mission was a failure. The Lunar Cry was induced.

Burmecia is- no longer. The mist continent is sufferign from the aftermath of a plague of monsters. I'm sorry.
