[Phone Call to Porom]
[After that phone call, Ursula departs the infirmary. She's tired of resting in bed, waiting to recover the rest of her strength. Stubborn as ever, the princess slips out of the castle and heads into town. She'll begin doing some stretches and then some practice moves, determined not to neglect her training.
White mage folks and others are still welcome to nag, of course.]

[Mostly. Leonora may or may not disagree.]
Most of it was just exhaustion, really. That's what I get for arriving in this world without my supplies.

Well, I doubt you chose to come back here so unprepared any more than I chose to return to a place without magic. I'm glad you're on the mend.

[It makes not sense to feel guilty for something she can't help...and yet, part of her does, anyway.]

[She pauses there, realizing how ridiculous it is to be glad that someone's been torn away from their home. She's been in Gaia too long already, if she's happy about that kind of thing.]

Porom...I still don't remember everything about Gaia and what happened here, but I recall what we did. It happened for me, too.

You fought it too, then. ...I'm- certainly glad it's out of the way. It was exhausting.

Training? After what she'd been through?]
Hey.
Re: action
It's just you, right?

[He looks over his shoulder, then back, and grins. He knows all too well what that was about. His mother's a fretful worrywort and everyone knows it.]
You okay?
action
I'm fine...thanks to you and the others. I tried to last as long as I could, but....
[No exit or restoratives meant Ursula didn't have much of a chance. At some point, trail of dead monsters or not, she would fall--and did.]
action
[He's still not sure what if anything she remembers. For his part, it bothers him that being home meant forgetting Gaia and privately nursing a crush, only to go home to Baron and get on with life.]
Glad you're back.
action
Me, too.
Want to go for a walk?
[Because she doesn't think anyone is watching or listening...but some conversations should still be private.]
action
[Ceodore holds out an arm for the taking. No reason to forget his manners.]
action
Let's get out of town for a while. I promise I'll take it easy.
[...for her standards, anyway.]

Once she is finished, though, Ursula turns and smiles, bowing her head.]
Good morning.

It's fine. I could probably use a break, anyhow.
[She peers at the woman thoughtfully.]
I know I've seen you around town, but I can't recall your name...?

[She's a touch uncomfortable at having been noticed, but then she is always skittish around Humes with whom she is not well acquainted.]

[Mindful of her own manners, Ursula nods politely.]
I'm Ursula Leiden, Princess of Fabul...though I don't suppose that matters anymore.
[She could do without titles, but losing her home, her family...that's what really hurt, and she can't quite hide it no matter how she might try.]

[And just like with any of the other royals she's encountered in her stay in Gaia, she drops into a kneel until she's given permission to get up. Anything less where she is from is the fastest route to a beheading.]
If you will forgive me, why should that not matter?
no subject
Because I'm not going home, I can't be Fabul's heir--please, you don't have to kneel.
