[Night has fallen and a small fire flickers in the dark, the only bright thing in a landscape that's utterly black. Terra has no moon and if there are stars, one cannot tell since the sky is shrouded by clouds. Mikoto is sitting cross-legged by the fire, her hands tucked in her lap.

This is a great place to camp, right? It totally is. Let's toast some muffins and have a chat.]

[ooc: Here is your first weekly campfire post! It's completely optional: your character can be tucked up in bed if you like, but this is a good chance to have some interaction that doesn't involve being attacked by dragons. I have seen the destructive power that one soul can unleash, yet not on this scale. Never such devastation as this. I will continue, but...I am afraid.

[Mjrn smiles at that, a genuine rather than forced one. She reaches up to cover his hand with hers, adding a gentle squeeze.]

Well... the Regent has been good to me and the rest of Tantalus, I couldn't ignore a call for aid, especially since I got a chance to fly the Invincible.

And I am thankful that I at least get to spend a little time with you before things go back to how they were. Even if the circumstances are less than pleasant.

[Mjrn ponders that in silence for a moment, then nods. Her tone is slightly hesitant.]

I was still discovering my place within it when I was drawn, but...it was. Once, my world contained only the Wood. Since departing, it has expanded considerably. Dalmasca is a place of many possibilities....

...and yet, I have now lived in Gaia longer than I have in Ivalice. I have no wish to depart.
