[Phone call for Terra/Action in Luca]
[Marlene and the Onion Knight are playing on the street near the flower shop. A small collection of pony toys with cute accessories are involved, and the knight's busying himself with drawing castles from them to live in on the ground with chalk.
A little way away, there's a group of older children in their mid-late teens. They're pointing occasionally, making just-a-little-too-loud comments about burning witches. They're the reason the two of them abandonned thier usual playing spot to be closer to the flower shop but it seems they followed. For now, they're just talking loudly and so the knight's ignoring them, trying not to make it worse for Marlene than it already is. He points at one of the chalk castle's rooms, trying to distract her from their comments.]
So what do we put in Sunshine Heart's room?
[Later, there's a phone call for Terra. Pick up, Terra!]

[Pause.]
But when I change form, that can be different. It startles people, and sometimes scares them. Then they might say things. Why do you ask?
no subject
...people are saying horrible things to Marlene. And I don't know how to make them stop.
no subject
I don't know if you can. Some people are always afraid of those with power...and judge them for it, unfairly or not. You have to learn to pick your battles, though. Fighting anyone who's nasty to her isn't going to make them change their minds.
...do you think it would help for her to get away for a little while? You're both welcome here, you know.
[Even if it means Relm will have another partner in crime.]
no subject
...yeah. You're right. I want to be able to protect her, but-
-I'll let her know you offered. We'd have to ask Miss Tifa, though.
no subject
...just focus on Marlene, alright? If people are being cruel, just get her away from them. That's what she needs most.
no subject
...there's something else.

She said that she and her friends were given a crystal shard- once that looked exactly like mine. They were carrying it around with them for everything that I remember and-
-she said there was something inside it. Called the Onion Knight.

[She forces herself to pause, giving the kid a chance to explain further.]

I think-
[The boys say something else, to which her hands tighten around the pony in her hands. She looks away, her bottom lip beginning to tremble.]
There should be lots of windows. With pink curtains.

Should the sun be shining in these windows, too?
[He's ignoring the fact that the sun really shouldn't be visible out of the windows of both the east and west wings. If sunshine in the windows will help her ignore the comments, there will be sunshine in the windows.]

[She had another idea, but inwardly, she shot it down. Her mind was just too p[reoccupied. Why did people have to be so mean? None of the kids she knew back home were like this. Everyone got along for the most part. But these kids... maybe it was because they were older?]
And she should have some weapons too, right? Her room would have a great view to help protect the castle. That's what you said, right?
no subject
[He nods enthusiastically at the suggestion of weapons, digging through the accessories to find a couple of miniature swords taken from Lindblum Soldier action figures and putting them down on the picture of a room.]
Not just this castle. See, we'll put the Petal Palace over there. And Midnight Gardens here. So she can see over the whole kingdom from this room. She can even see the shop! Since she's the strongest warpony, it's important that she knows if anyone anywhere is in trouble.

That way all the other ponies can feel safe! Her friends' rooms need to be close too. We don't want her to feel lonely.
