[Cissnei's been busy trying her best to repair and help people in Lindblum. In fact, she hasn't had much time to think about anything else. But, she needs to discuss the issue at hand with the Chalices and the new information that's come in.

She's sitting in the warehouse, turning the Chalice over and just trying to figure out more.]

[Cissnei shrugged.] More than likely, yes. But... I've been thinking about how the myrrh reacted to the Lifestream on this world. [She chewed her lip in thought.] What if these Chalices could reverse the rebirth cycle? I mean, considering everything, it might be possible. [She Cissnei doesn't want to start on her crazy yet potentially valid theory if they weren't interested.]

[Reverse the rebirth cycle. It's a fairly innocuous set of words, but for the implications behind it.]

I suppose it's not worse than some of the things we've seen here.

Yeah, I mean... [Where to even start?] Okay, I have this theory or I guess more of an idea. The Lifestream isn't native to this world, obviously, we know that. But, what if the Lifestream is taking the souls of the world here? It doesn't recognize them as the usual souls, so it spits them back out. So it's like the Lifestream is like an immune system, you know? It's trying to protect itself of foreign things.

I say this because the Selkies poured the myrrh into the Lifestream and it purified it. The myrrh is I guess like a vaccine, and the souls of this world are a virus to the Lifestream. With this, it's possible that either that the Lifestream will accept the souls permanently or expel them to wherever they're supposed to go on this world. They won't return to it.

[On a scale of one to ten, just how insane did this sound?]

Confusing, but it sounds like you got something there, little miss. But... who's to say that, if someone not from here enters the Lifestream, that person won't be permanently dead? Or stuck with mako sickness? From what I remember of Cloud taking a header into it, he wasn't exactly coherent for a while.

[He had one of those 'I'm giving myself a headache' look on his face.]

'Course, that could just have been cuz he had Jenova cells messing with his head.

Cloud's a special case and you know that. I don't know about people going into it from here though. No one's tried it... yet. [Maybe some idiot would decide it sounds like a good idea. They'd know then.] Though mako sickness, wouldn't that be if it's directly in your system? [She's gotten rusty with that sort of thing, hasn't she? This does not please Cissnei very much.] In any case, these Chalices are connected with the Lifestream. Chalices purify the crystals, maybe the myrrh recognizes the Lifestream as a similar protective force.

I'm not sure about the precise details of it. However, I seem to recall more than one case in which the affected individual had been soaking in mako prior to their contracting the sickness.

[Whether that's the rule or the exception he's not too sure, but it's something at the least.]

It's not impossible, although I'd have to wonder what came with the Lifestream that the myrrh thought it needed to purify.
