[The video feed switches on to show two emerald eyes peering at it. Wide curious eyes blink when it seems that the PHS is working, and the face pulls away to show the accomplished smile on a young woman’s face.]

There! It looks like I got it working teehee!

I had a cute little moogle explaining to me what happened, but as nice as it is to be here, I really should be getting back to my world.

[Aerith falls quiet for a moment, but her smile never fades from her expression.]

I don’t suppose that anyone knows how to do that~? [She smiles fondly at the screen. It's obvious in the background that she's out the front of a church.] While this little church is nice, it's not my church and I really should return to tend to them.

Tifa! [The expression on her friend's face causes her to subtly worry.] Is everything alright?

Apart from being stuck here? [And the Lunar Cry? And knowing that Aerith will disappear again only to be dead? And- Well, that's enough for now.] Well, it's a long story. You're in... I think that's Alexandria. Listen, we're over at Luca - Zack's here as well, he's in Lindblum right now, but I think he's coming over too. If you want to come and meet us, I can explain everything.

[Well, she's kind of hoping that Tifa isn't aware of the whole 'returning to die' thing, but she'll find out soon enough. The mention of Zack causes her expression to shift subtly, but her smile returns in the next moment.]

Luca, right. There's map on the PHS isn't there? [Otherwise she's so going to get lost along the way.]

Yeah, there is. They call them Sky Phones here. It's a nickname... They call us Sky People too.

Sky People? [That nickname causes her heart to skip a beat, but she covers it up easily with a light laugh.] Then I won't have to worry about getting lost. That's good!

Do you think you'll be okay? I know it's a shock arriving here for the first time...

I'll be fine~ I grew up in the slums, remember? [She's purposefully avoiding the whole 'shock' aspect.]

I remember. And Alexandria's not like the slums. It's much nicer.

Mmm~ it's rather beautiful here, and so unlike anything I've ever seen before!

Have you been here long, Tifa?

[She looks down.]

...Almost two years. This place has been my life now for a long time.

Two years? [She gasps lightly at that before she momentarily silent. Her smile softens lightly.] Does being here make you happy, Tifa?

[Aerith can understand the lure. Cloud, Tifa.... Zack.... she had been given the opportunity to see them all again.]

[Tifa catches her breath. Now that is a loaded question. Possibly the most difficult question Aerith could have asked. It's something she's avoided confronting herself, because does it really matter? The important thing is what needs to be done to fix this mess and save her family, and in the meantime she's just trying to keep them as safe and happy as possible.

So she looks away again, then shrugs.]

It's been two years. I've had the chance to see people I never thought I'd see again... Make friends I never would have met. I've... made a home here in Luca. It'd be easier to settle down if people weren't always coming and going.

You've disappeared and come back so many times, Aerith. So has Cloud, and Zack. Almost every time you forget that you were here, you're a little further behind than I am. Nothing's constant. That's the hardest thing.

[She's... probably permanently damaged by all this. Not that she sounds upset exactly. It's just the way things are.]

[She doesn't miss Tifa's reaction, and it's one that she can understand. Aerith couldn't imagine how difficult it would be to have such close friends disappear repeatedly. Having Zack disappear five year earlier had been painful enough.]

I'm sorry that you've had to go through all of that, Tifa. It can't be easy on you.

[She pulls a smile from somewhere. Tifa's pretty good at that.]

It's fine. I'm just glad to see you again.

[The smile doesn't convince her, but Aerith figures that she'll prod her friend about it later.]

Mmm~ same, although it seems as though our work isn't finished.

[She nods.]

You've got that right.

[Just... please don't run off to try and solve everything yourself. Again.]

You'll have to tell us all about it when Zack and I get to Luca.

[/sobs. She's already thinking of doing that once she's discovered more information about Garland...]

Will do. Let me know when you arrive.

[Oh, Aerith. Tifa's going to be watching you this time. She's seen you pull that trick before.]

Mmhm~ I most definitely will~

Is there anything that you'd like from Alexandria while I'm here?

[It's probably a good idea, because she'll try and pull the fast one on you again if she thinks that she can finish it by herself.]

[She considers.]

If you go through South Gate, they make delicious South Gate bundt cakes. I've been trying to get the recipe for ages...

[She's going to try and schmooze the recipe from them when she gets there.]
