[action] Unexpected Pets.
[Shelke made her way absently through the streets of Lindblum, a little sack filled with cookies tucked between her injured arm and her stomach as she wandered about. She had to wait an hour and a half or so between airships before she could continue on to Luca, so she was exploring the city again. As much as she rarely admitted such things, she rather liked Lindblum. She wasn't really sure how she would feel about Luca. Still...time would tell.]

Hey, Tsviet! Why aren't you with your folks?
no subject
They moved to Luca and I was stuck in Dali during the dragon attack. I am waiting for my next airship to head there.

[He ruffles his hair, swinging the bag over his shoulder.]
Hey, you wanna come see the kittens? They're big now. [Well, bigger.]
no subject
[Shelke said nothing for another moment, considering his offer, and then nodded.]
That would be fine.

In the corner, there's a large crate with a lot of noise coming from it. Inside, Puss is nesting with her collection of various coloured babies.]
There they are. Noisy twenty-four-seven.
no subject
Most small animals are noisy.
[She said this without looking away from the box, crouching down and tilting hre head to hte side as she watched the tiny creatures squirming about with their mother.]
no subject
You want one? They're still kinda young, but Puss seems fine to let them wander off around alone.

[Shelke tilts her head a bit more to the side. One of the kittens, a bit on the small side from the others and covered in reddish fur with the occasional black patch, has crawled free of its siblings and is peering at her over the top of the crate, it's paws sitting on the edges. It was staring at her, and Shelke was just staring right back.]

[These damn enhanced people and their issues. Always so logical. Reno rolls his eyes and sits down at the table, flicking through a book he's been reading. Not as good as TV, but it kills the boredom.]

[After a few seconds she reached out and gently scratched its head, almost as though she weren't certain that was what she was supposed to do.]
no subject
Uh, yeah, you ain't going home alone. That one won't leave you alone now.
no subject
That doesn't make any sense.
[She gently picked up the kitten and set it back in the box, and it promptly scrambled right back out and jumped into her lap again.]
no subject
[He smiles lightly and watches them.]
You gotta take her.
no subject
Very well.

If your folks got problems with you bringing home a cat, just tell 'em what I told you.
The cat claimed you, so you can't get rid of it.

I am more concerned that Marlene's dog will attempt to eat it.
[She said this absently, and then gently placed the creature into the crook of her bad arm, letting it rest along the outstretched part of the bandage. It seemed content there, and if having it rest against her injury was painful she didn't show it. Then she moved over to pick up her bag of cookies with her good hand.]
