[There's a soft, frustrated sigh as the sky phone begins recording, as well as the sound of bare feet pacing along a hard floor. Rydia's voice is heard a moment later, worriedly muttering to herself.]

--nothing wrong with my soul. Just because I--[paces out of range for a moment]--doesn't mean...anything. I'm fine.

[A soft huff, then the footsteps grow distant. Rydia pauses by her door, then opens it. The hour is fairly late, but she's unable to rest, remembering a certain meeting all too well. Instead of another fruitless attempt, the green-haired summoner paces down the castle hallways. Might as well give into the urge for some aimless wandering and perhaps see if there are any other insomniacs to encounter.]

When I died in January, I guess some part of it got left behind when I revived. I don't know how, or how to fix it...or if it can be fixed.

I don't know. I wish I knew if this was going to affect me and how and what to expect, but...if Anima's fayth doesn't know, what are the odds that anyone else will? What if I don't find out until it's too late?

[He's not really sure what to say to that.]

...Then we'll just get through it, okay? You've got your friends from home, and me and Yuna and everyone else here. You ever need anything, just ask.

Hey, why don't you come down here for a few days? It's gotta be warmer than Troia.

[She draws in a shaky breath and considers that with a slow nod.]

I guess now that Cecil's back, it's possible to get away....

Sounds like you could use a break, too. Come on, we can take you swimming.

[Since a lot of crap's been going on lately and probably most of their friends could use some good times.]

[She considers that. Not exactly in partying mood at the moment, but maybe she will be by the time she gets there.]

...maybe Edge will be up for it. Possibly Edward, too. Kain's allergic to fun, but I can try.

[He wouldn't have this party until he gets his boat back, anyway.]

That's right. They arrived pretty recently, except Kain.

Eiko's birthday celebrations are going to be pretty close, too, come to think of it....

[She almost smiles at that, practically hearing that unspoken part.]

She's still giving you a hard time over Yuna? I heard about the earlier incident.

And Seymour. [He hates Maesters - always good at looking good. Even when they really, really weren't.]

...I'll talk to her about him. I can't ignore what you and Yuna have told me, nor can I feel comfortable about inviting him along for Summoner business.

You didn't know. Hey, I didn't know he was from after he went nuts before he tried to kill me. It'll work out, somehow.
