[There's a soft, frustrated sigh as the sky phone begins recording, as well as the sound of bare feet pacing along a hard floor. Rydia's voice is heard a moment later, worriedly muttering to herself.]

--nothing wrong with my soul. Just because I--[paces out of range for a moment]--doesn't mean...anything. I'm fine.

[A soft huff, then the footsteps grow distant. Rydia pauses by her door, then opens it. The hour is fairly late, but she's unable to rest, remembering a certain meeting all too well. Instead of another fruitless attempt, the green-haired summoner paces down the castle hallways. Might as well give into the urge for some aimless wandering and perhaps see if there are any other insomniacs to encounter.]

[This insomniac had been hoping to just take a walk through the hallways before trying to sleep again, but she notices Rydia very easily and wonders if anything is wrong.]

[Rydia would have usually perked up at the sound of Rosa's voice, but it takes a couple of moments to snap out of it. She glances to Rosa, surprised to see her up.]

Rosa!

...couldn't sleep either?

[Rosa shakes her head gently and approaches, looking a little worried.]

Are you all right? I hope nothing is causing your sleepless night.

[Rydia rakes a hand through her hair, looking guilty. She doesn't want to worry Rosa, but at the same time, she can't bring herself to lie to her.]

...it's not nothing.

[Rosa tilts her head and walks a little closer.]

Would you like to walk around?

[Which is a clear invitation for Rydia to talk to her about whatever is going on.]

[After a moment, she nods and moves to Rosa's side.]

Alright....

[She doesn't say anything for another moment, just listening to the sound of their footsteps against the stone floor.]

It's something Anima said at the Summoner gathering. It turns out that when I revived, part of my soul was left in the Mist. She's not sure how or why, just that it is....

[Rosa looks at Rydia in concern as they begin to walk around, but she listens carefully. This is worrisome...]

I wonder if it's part of the laws of this place. But you feel normal, don't you? [Rydia hadn't seemed any different to her.]

[Rosa hates the pressure this is putting on Rydia. She can't imagine what this might feel like. She stops and places a hand on Rydia's arm, obviously in an attempt to comfort the other woman.]

We will find a way to make sure that it doesn't. We will face it when it matters.
